I have just gotten back from my first service for my TLX I picked up first week of November...

I asked them at delivery to do the software update in the TSB 14-037 for the ODMD

It wasn't done, and I had asked them to do it again at this first service...

But because this is a American TSB I was told there are "No Software updates for the vehicle"

I certainly hope they aren't gonna stick us with buggy v1 software...

My system device info is:
Database: USA/Canada/Mexico
Ver. ST002.01.01
Software: Ver. 1.00.2d02

And the software in the TSB is:

Database: USA/Canada/Mexico
Ver. ST003.02.00
Software: Ver. 3.00.2d03

Anyone in canada had any software updates done to their vehicle that have improved functionality?

Things I am really looking for:
1. Adjust the volume of the Guidance without diving into vehicle settings
2. Organize the audio inputs according to my liking.
3. Adjust the volume of the warning beeps (or at least tie them to the music volume)

I am in the same boat as you and the outlook is not good. The TSB specifies that applying it to a vehicle outside the approved range could damage the unit. If you go the AccuraLink, My Vehicle, Manuals, Owner Manual you will see a list by vehicle type and VIN. The list is split into before software update and after. I take this to mean that those in the after category either had the update during the build or may qualify for the fix if Acura Canada gets its act together. If you are like me in the lower VIN range then we may be SOL. It is possible that the head unit was different for these, and I know they are different from the US models as we do not have HD Radio.

That's unfortunate not to get the updates. Everyone should be able to enjoy the new features and fixes.

I did hear that new Canadian TLX models come with the update installed.

Maybe all Canadian TLX owners affected should complain to Acura Customer Relations.

I inquired about the update on the Acura Canada Facebook page and they didnt even respond. My dealership knew nothing about it either.

The list of TSB's in general is pathetic for the CDN Acuras. We have 2-3 vs the 20 or so for the US cars.

That's a shame that Canadian owners can't get the same updates that we can in the U.S. I understand that there may be some differences, but I don't know why the updates aren't compatible for both versions. I hope Acura releases the updates that fix the issues you guys have and make any changes that add to the usability of the car.

I guess this is the trade off for you guys getting the heated steering wheel, windshield, headlight washers, and folding mirrors all to yourselves

I picked mine up in April. My build date is 11/15 and I live in the Ottawa area. Luckily I have the updated software. They must have the updated software. I'm guessing if they ever had to reload the software on mine they would use the new versions.

The inability to reorder the audio sources (something Canadian Accords can do and US TLX's can do) is irritating. I should check if the latest Canadian spec ones can. I think even Civics can do this...

I can reorder the audio sources on mine. It must have been included in the update.

Unfortunately the CAN TSB's arent nearly as detailed as the US ones. You can access the Honda/Acura service site for a fee however.

I have same versions . Mine was build on 1/15 .
Yours is 1/15 or 11/14 as I don't think it can be 11/15 .

^ There are two classes of Canadian TLX's, early adopters with no upgrades, or post about Nov production with the single upgrade. Be happy if you have it. I am po'ed early adopter.

Just a quick update... Just got the car back from its 20000 km b 16 servicing, and I finally got the software upgrade by asking about the Canadian tsb...

Just checked the paper work, and oddly enough, the tsb is listed as sb-14-037. The same name number as when I first asked about it and they said it was an American tsb and couldn't find it or do it...

Whatever, it can be done for us, and I can now order my audio inputs, and other goodness 👍

I had lost hope of getting this update. On the My Acura site under My Vehicle, Manuals there is a split by VIN for before and after software update that is applicable to this TSB. My car falls into the before range so I suspect that I will never get it.

qwxilvr: please check and see if you car is in the before or after range.
