Looking for floor mats and cargo mat
Hey all. Got my 2022 PMC last week and love the car! I'm going snowboarding on 12/17 and wanted weathertech floormats and cargo mat however they don't have it for 2022 yet. Will the 2021 fit? If not, what are ya'll using for your 2022?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Congrats and good luck. I see no reason 2022 would be any different from the previous MYs in the 3rd Gen.
I went OEM all around. Front, back and cargo tray. Probably not as good as WeatherTech but I think they look better and maybe a little cheaper, but I don't know.
Ordered them from Bernardi in FL. Very pleased.

I saw some posts on here not too long ago about TuxMat's. I just ordered a pair a few hours ago, seems to have pretty adequate protection over OEM.

I trade often and buy many Acuras. Now with each one I buy the Acura mats, cargo tray, mud guards, etc. I'm totally happy with them. The '22 RDX I have waiting
for me at the dealer....will have the Acura All Weather mats...and the colored A-Spec logo on the mat. Little extra nice touch there.

I purchased the OEM mats, but would not recommend them over Weathertech or similar. If you look at the shape of the front mats, OEM does not provide the same coverage. I would go with the OEM cargo area mats, as they have the folds in the right place and are 2-piece so they flip up to access the storage area.

Except the oem mats offer zero coverage on the left footrest or under the gas pedal. WT and others cover this area and also have raised sides to contain debris.

The "laser measured" WT mats....I've owned MANY sets of these. Yes, they have high sides....BUT, here's the problem with them. They are SLICK!! Ever have these and
wet shoes/boots and or snow and try to plant your foot??? The material they use gives the surface a "non stick" slippery surface....and that's the main reason I stopped
paying so much for a product that my feet won't hold still on. Just a fact. Not being a jerk...but, after owning so many of these through all kinds of weather...I learned and
said..."no more."
They have the rubbery type material one...called All Season or All weather...BUT, they do NOT have high sides. Dumb on their part.
The Acura OEM ones are shown below. See on Acura web site when you "build your RDX"...Accessories. They can be bought separately OR
as part of a Package deal with the trunk tray, mud guards, etc. If your tight with your dealer...you can get 20% off...like I get on all Accessories.
I bought very similar ones for my Mustang. Ford OEM ones....high sides, with large Pony on it, lockable to factory anchors, just as the Acura ones are.
I have 3 sets of mats for the Mustang. The other 2 sets are fancy carpet ones, but, I tend to keep the "rubber ones" down most of the time.
All-Season Floor Mats

- Includes front and rear mats
- Durable rubber material cleans easily with mild soap and water
- Custom-colored RDX logo is molded in for a premium look

OE cargo tray and tux mats

Wx Tech now lists 2022 but no idea if there is any difference or just listed the old ones as fitting 2022. I have had Honda OEM mats / trays and like the Wx Teck mats better. The OEM cargo with the folding sections is a p,us if interested. I usually just cut a piece of rubber backed black carpet as a cargo liner.

I also ended up getting TuxMat's for the interior and WeatherTech for the cargo tray. I didn't like the look of Tuxmats in pictures, but in person they look and feel much better than the rubber ones such as WeatherTech. The coverage is very nice and has clips to make the mat stay in place. Although it is expensive.

The product info on the 2021 all weather mats state that the fronts will only fit the 4 way power passenger seat, too bad as they seem like a very nice well made product.

I was wondering if you installed any paint protection film, AKA clear bra, or are you just going to live with all the rock chips on your premium paint? We have a new PMC and it is going to be a pretty much a garage queen in winter, and it is getting the entire front half protected as soon as there is a dry day with no snow or deicer on the roads. Also, it doesn’t have snow tires, did you install those? What kind and what wheels?
Thanks.

Hi All
I know this is an old thread, but....looking for some additional perspectives. I too have used WT for many years and find quality to be good, but way too slippery! Want something better for the new ride.
1. How are the TuxMats for cleaning? Look like road salt might be be hard to get out.
2. Maxliners look like good coverage, but are they slippery?
TIA

The Maxliners don’t seem slippery to me. Coverage under the gas pedal is superior. Very important for Minnesota winters.

hi
just got the tuxmats- are you only using the one velcro adhesive clip 2/3 the way back on the center tunnel side?
I was concerned about putting one any further because afraid it would interfere with my right foot on the gas.
Thanks

Overall on the door side; I used 4 clips and on the center console side; I used 1 adhesive clip near the pedal and 1 regular clip that went under the center console area.

Correct, I only use 1 velcro adhesive clip on the center console side. I have it clipped on about 2.5 - 2.75 inches from the start of the mat towards the seat side. I've had no issue with interference while driving. Photo here of the clip placement - https://imgur.com/a/28Tx40L

I only used two on sill side and one in the same place as you on the console side. Seems pretty stiff overall and if doesn't sag or deform over time then it will work great. I was just concerned because they sent like 20 clips and I'm scratching my head like "Where the heck am I supposed to put all these?"
