This must be an update to this problem as there has been previous communication on it. Today I got a letter for the 2019 RDX regarding a warranty extension to 8 yrs/100K miles for the (MOST) Bus and Fakra cables "which can potentially affect audio sound quality". What are the 'problems' that can be experienced with sound quality? We have given the car to our daughter and I want to be able to explain to them what they need to be on the lookout for. I don't know if they should just describe the problem to the Acura service people just to get it fixed, how serious this is, or if it is a big enough deal to worry about. Anyone that has had the problem, if you can give a highlight on what occurred?

 

also for those of us that had their fakra cables replaced few years back, is there another update, or original fix still good? The only occasional issue I get is the random beep, but its not very common. Maybe happens once a month or so…

 

Every once in a while, shortly after starting the car, I try and click through audio favorites via steering wheel toggle wheel and get an error message (something like 'system unavailable' can't recall the exact message). Only for sure cure is to completely shut down and wait 15 seconds or so...the fire back up...Seems to fix it...Is this a symptom of the issue in the notice? MY 2020
