Exclamation RDX 2016 Elite Problem

Hey guys,

I leased a 2016 RDX Elite for 3yrs and im about 26000km in (still got, 34000km), my lease will be done next year October. lately the car is giving me a problem. It jerks as I accelerate. (Note: It happens randomly, sometime its fine). I have to pull over and turn off the car and back on.

Here is a video of exact thing that happens to my car:

So I called in to my local dealer to get that checked up, they said I need to pay $200 to get it checked and more to get it fixed if they find something. I didn't book an appointment yet, wanted to get an advice here. Note: I live in Canada, Toronto.

Cheers.

Why would you have to pay anything?. The problem sounds like a power train problem, and the warranty on that is 5 years or 100,000 Km.

Perhaps the problem is not mechanical but an electrical problem which should be covered for 4 years or 80,000 Km.

I don't think you have reached any of those thresholds even if you purchased your 2016 immediately on it's release date.

Try a different dealer, then go in head-high explaining the _warranty_ issue you're having. Don't pay a dime.

When in Canada we've used the dealer in Pickering. Decent helpful people in my limited experience with them.

Agreed, it seems like a warranty issue.
