Cool HUD brightness

I have noticed that, at least in the daytime, the HUD brightness is significantly diminished when I am using Polaroid/UV sun eyeglasses. This is probably typical but I would like to see the hUD brightness projection improved.

It's typical and even in the manual I think. I found the same to be true with HUDs from Acura, Hyundai, Buick and Audi. When I was car shopping it was bright out. For me at least it's still very readable.

I have the same issue with my RLX Sport Hybrid with HUD with my non-prescription polarized sunglasses. The HUD is on full brightness and it still looks about 1/2 dim with the sunglasses. Tilting my head to side does bring the HUD to full brightness; but, I can drive with my head at almost 45 degrees to the side. My polarized sunglasses also dim out the navi screen and changes the color a just a touch; but, not enough to really worry about.

Anyone have any luck with a brand of polarized sunglasses that don't dim out the HUD for the RDX Adv?

Light reflected off glass IS polarized light. Therefore, polarized sunglasses can make it virtually disappear. Tilt your head from side to side to vary the effect.

We know that. There has to be a pair of polarized sunglasses with polarization in a different direction that might line up with the HUD better for a brighter view. Looking for something like "My polarized Oakley sunglasses work better than my polarized Ray Ban sunglasses" as an example.
