Navi brightness question
OK, so I don't usually need to ask questions here, but we don't have a Navi '09 or '10 TL on the lot and I need to answer a customer. He states that when in Auto Headlight mode, the Navi screen isn't switching to the Night color scheme when the lights come on.
My guess is that the screen brightness is set to 'full bright' and somehow overriding the 'night mode' or that he has the same color for both day and night. Any thoughts?

I think the Navi screen dims when the GPS determines it's officially sunset. I've had a few Garmin units do the same thing and they act the same. I don't use the Auto-headlight feature, but I think it's based upon actual ambient light conditions.
I have observed the MID go spastic between day and night modes around sunset, and I think it's because it's hooked through the light sensor on the dash.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we know about that button. Mostly asking about the automatic function of the display.

I haven't figured out what exactly triggers what, but I do know the auto headlight feature and the dimmer for the Nav screen work off separate things. Just this evening I noticed my Nav dimmed, but the headlights didn't come on for sometime later. Noticed the reverse this morning.

^^ thanks for that. I may cut and paste and send to my customer. I think the system is 'out smarting' itself.
