Help with lights in the back

This is the lights in the back seat. 2020RDX. Can someone tell me what the red lights mean? Also i can’t turn on these back seat lights individually. But they work if i hit the “on” button up front that turns all the lights on. Thanks

Have you read through the owner's manual?

here's a copy if you don't have it: https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...BTJB2020OM.PDF

Pg. 220 refers to the interior lights

First thing is I don't have the red lights on my 2020 Platinum Elite. My lights are white. Perhaps yours are red if you have an Aspec model.

The white/red light is only on when the engine is running. I presume this is to make it easier for the rear seat passenger to locate the light in the dark..

The switch on the rear lights will not work unless the switch on the overhead console is set to the "door" position. As you already noticed, setting the overhead console to the "on" position will turn on all the interior lights including these rear lights.
