Folding mirror motor
Folding mirror motor
Passenger mirror on 2020 A-Spec started acting up whereby it doesn’t fold in all the way. No Issues with driver side.
Has anyone else had to have their mirror replaced due to faulty motor? Wondering if they replace the whole mirror or just the internal assembly?

I've used power folding mirrors on other cars for years without a motor fail. It's not a heavy duty task they are performing. I mean, anything that moves can certainly break, I just wouldn't hold it up as a likely point of failure.
I'd be WAY more worried about the motor in the power seat. That mostly-pointless feature where the seat moves back to ease entry will probably kill that motor in less than 5 years. I can see some people needing that based on seat position, but for my wife and I it's entirely superfluous, and one of the first settings I adjusted was to turn it off.

We have received significant amounts and more frequent freezing rain storms during recent winters. I do not want to imagine driving with my mirrors retracted because they were covered in 10 mm of ice and I was too afraid to unretract them. Jordster you must live further south than I do. GTA? My sister lives in Etobicoke and doesn’t own winter boots.

(This is probably the thing I'm angriest about with Acura so far.)
[QUOTE=DriverOne;16612127..., I see that I can change the "reset" point of the trip meters, which ticks me off. Mine rolled over at 10,000 miles and I had wanted it to just be ongoing. [/QUOTE]
Please post where this setting is, as I would have liked to have it ongoing as well. 10,000 miles reset? Really Acura?

The seat setting is on page 347 of the driver's manual (I only have the PDF, since I missed the 6 month window for the printed manual -- another point of irritating). The "trip A/B" reset timing setting is on page 346. I don't know if it still rolls over at 10,000 miles. It says the options are: with refuel/IGN off/manual reset. But it may still "roll over at 10,000 miles. I mentioned that I wanted to just let one of my trip meters roll for the life of the car so I could get a "lifetime" MPG. But when I hit 10,000 it reset back to 0. I think it would still do that for any of these options, but I won't know for another 9,000 miles, lol.

I have an app that gives me lifetime mpg, so if the car can't its not a big deal.
