D.1.6.4 OTA update
D.1.6.4 OTA update
Seems like OTA software update is rolling out for some
older Infotainments 19-21. Anyone got an update? It should be 1.6.4 (from 1.6.3).
its surprising they are doing anything for older models,
must be a very minor update, hopefully fixes some bugs

I have 2019 and did not see anything yet, hopefully it's a full screen update. Can anyone verified? I'm in the US

does not look like a full screen update for older infotainment. I found some posts on facebook that TLX owners got, so most likely RDX will get it too

I’m in Canada and got the update on my rdx 2019. It’s not a full screen update.
I received an update earlier this week for my 2019. The optimist inside me was hoping that the update would have added fullscreen Apple Carplay, the realist inside me just laughed at that notion. No fullscreen. Not sure what was updated in the update.

Had the update this morning on my 2019. Just bug fixes. Here is the list of changes:
- Issue where phone calls cannot be ended using the audio unit
- Issue where the audio unit may become unresponsive when connecting a phone with a large media library
- A condition where USB devices may not connect if reverse is selected before the audio unit has completed booting
Unfortunately, the OTA does not completely address the USB connectivity issue.
My car refused to connect to Android Auto for whatever reason today. The usual trick of cycling ADB->CarPlay in the diagnostic menu did not work. I had to power cycle to restore the AA connectivity.
On the plus side, AA is more stable and responsive after OTA. WindRiver has apparently done a good job updating the software.

Also had apple carplay randomly disconnect and then reconnect few seconds later, has not happened yet.

for me this was the biggest issue, and it appears to be fixed.

This would also fix my biggest issue, if only they would let me have it. Both OTA and USB update paths are b0rken for me. Looks like a server-side issue based on the "Error accessing server" message I get when trying to upload the JSON file from my USB stick.
maybe try complete reset (restore to factory default) and try updating again.
Not sure how doing a pointless reset on my car will resolve a problem on an HTTP server that throws a 500 internal server error when I try to upload a JSON text file via the browser on my laptop.
I dont know what to tell you, you can always go to dealer and pay $$!
Use a phone wifi hotspot. For whatever network reason phone wifi hotspots can download while most home wifi and car builtin dataplans don't seem to update across almost all Acura models.
if all 3 way fail: ota, usb, and wifi. I would try factory reset and trying again before heading to dealer and paying $$$ for this.
