Cargo Area Liner Options

Hello all,

I recently ordered a 2023 RDX Advance that I am very patiently waiting on (yeah, right!). I have been doing a lot of reading on this forum and I have learned a great deal on my soon-to-be new ride. Obviously a lot of folks here with a lot of experience with Acura's.

As the title implies, I am looking for a cargo liner and have been doing a lot of looking around at the options. In particular I would like one that covers the floor of the cargo area and the back of the second row of seats (not the sides of the vehicle). So far I like these the best: https://www.canvasback.com/acura-rdx-cargo-liners.html. Are there any other options similar to these that I might be missing?

TIA- Pete

I don't think anything beats OEM quality fit and finish

Acura OEM

Very true with the fit and finish and I have considered this option. But I don't need or want the side protectors so I wouldn't be installing these if I go this route. Therefore this is a pretty costly option to just cover the backs of the second row of seats. I would still need to purchase the cargo mat as this kit only covers the backs of the seats and the sides.

Thank you for your reply and I will keep this option on the table.

I bought the OEM winter mats for the front two rows (not what you asked - just sharing) and have a cargo tray in the back of my 2020 RDX. I use a heavy duty moving blanket to protect the sides and the back of the second rows seats for anything I put back there. We have always had a moving blanket in the backs or trunks of our suv/cars. This may not be ideal for liquids but works for pretty much everything else.

Thank you for your reply! I too have used that general method of cargo area protection in the past and while it worked back in the day, I am looking for a more permanent solution that will sometimes include melting snow/moisture.

The RDX will only be transporting my wife and me so the second row of seats will most likely never have a person sit in them, ever. I plan to carry skies or a bike most of the time in my cargo area so this is the reason why I am looking for the protection that I have spelled out.

Sorry- I probably should have been more detailed in my initial post! Thanks for the ideas so far!

I used the canvas back plus an OEM cargo liner in my Audi Q5 for 10 years. That worked great for any cargo and an occasional wet dog.

Thank you for your first hand experience. At this point I think that this is the best option for me so I will move forward with the purchase.

Thank you all for your replies!

I just have the tray. Wouldn't be without it. It's the best protection for anything, wet or dry. Prevents tears or damage to the carpeting. I'll take it out and hose it off, if I have to.

I hear ya, but I want an integrated cover that also protects the back side of the rear seats. There doesn't appear to be many options out there other than Canvasback.

Yes- This is the first option that I considered. I just don't need/want the side protection.
