Lame Question - Cargo Mat

So I want to buy some sort of protective rubber mat for the back of the RDX. THe pics I've seen of the Acura one only look like a partial tray. Is that right?

I want something that will cover the entire floor of the cargo area.

Thanks for the help.

That would be the cargo liner you're interested in. I have it in my RDX and it covers the whole cargo area, and even extends up the sides of the cargo area over the speakers and up the back of the rear seats so when you drop the seats down the whole area is protected. It's even long enough that you can flip out extra to extend over the bumper if you are putting things in the back and don't want to scratch the bumper. I purchased it to protect the back area from wear and tear...I have a German Shepherd. I'd highly recommend it!

The mat is nice if you're carrying muddy ski boots or other drippy items. Otherwise, the liner is probably more generally useful.

I don't want the liner. I simply want a fitted tray for the back area to protect the bottom carpet. The liner is just too much material and not really what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the input.

A protective rubber is always a good idea. I always practice safe driving.

BA-ZING!

I was hesitant on the liner too. Even more so when I installed it (it IS a lot of material and not the most aesthetically pleasing). But after a few trips carrying a decent haul I love it. Don't have to worry about scratching the bumper or tearing up the floor of the trunk. I'd totally recommend it for anyone who loads up the RDX from time to time.

I also love the cargo liner. I've used it several times, the last 2 to haul the snowblower over to my girlfriend's place for some brownie points. The fabric is tough, waterproof, and easily placed.

If you only want to protect the carpet in the back area, take out the cargo cover, flip it so the plastic side is up and put it on the floor. It also beefs up floor load capacity. You'll note that doing that will make the floor behind the rear seats totally flat. When I do that, I also clip in the cargo net to keep stuff from sliding around.

I have the cargo liner in my car 100% of the time. It is completely invisible from the passenger area, so who cares how it looks. You can only see it if you open the rear hatch or fold down the passenger seats.

I recommend the WeatherTech one, it covers the whole trunck area and it saved me this weekend when I put muddy and wet snowboard boots in it!

the cargo tray works great, good to put ur shopping bags in and it fits snugly and perfect into the little dip area (if you dont store the shelf). However, it coveres about 3/4's of the floor back there.

its pricey for what it actually is, but i think overall worth it, see if u can grab it on ebay for cheap.
