Beeps

This is a weird request.

Many know that I am again considering RDX ownership, after owning a '19 Advance for 30,000 miles.

One of the issues I have with my current car is it often beeps when the lane markings go away, like in an intersection, and it will beep when I get near to or cross over a lane marking.

SO, my request to the group...when do you hear beeps from your RDX? I know that the steering wheel vibrates to alert when you cross the lane markings, but I don't think it beeps. OR it perhaps the beeping can be turned off? Maybe a beep when you use the turn signal while there is a car in the blind spot.

I'm not talking about beeping from the proximity sensors. Thanks!

Ours doesn't do that. It will wiggle the steering wheel and display a warning on the HUD but no beeps. Only beep I can think of if you hit the turn signal with a car in the next lane. I don't recall doing anything to turn them off either.

False alarms for what? A car in the blind spot when you use your turn signal?

I think the beeps can be enabled/disabled somewhere deep down in the settings menu, but I don't have time to go look for it right now.

We are just awaiting which color you are going to choose

I believe that is correct. Under the Drive Assist System Setup, you have Forward Vehicle Detect beep (on or off), Blind Spot Information (Audible and Visual or Visual only), and the LKAS beep (On or Off)

- Forward Vehicle detect beep: Causes system to beep when the system detects a vehicle or when the vehicle goes out of the ACC range.
- Blind Spot Info: Audible and Visual or Visual only
- LKAS: Causes the system to beep when the LKAS is suspended.

I turned off lane departure feature. Blind spot still beeping. The lane departure had false positives at intersection or also on highway occasionally. Also, when passing trucks I like to stay left a bit more intentionally, and it starts complaining. So I turned it off.
