Tire help please
Tire help please
Hello. I have about made myself sick researching and researching trying to figure out what tires I should get for my 2019 MDX Tech. I am looking into the CC2's or the Pirelli scorpion AS plus 3 to replace my continental LX
I live on Long Island, and also go to Rhode Island most weekends so I will be traveling on i95 frequently.
Any help would be appreciated

I put the Scorpions on my 2018 last thanksgivng. So far very happy. Last December/January I had to take my wife to radiation treatment every day. We usually have rainy winters, but did have a few days with some snow. Went with no problem. According to Discount tire and Tire Rack reviews you wont go wrong with the Scorpion.

The one thing that really bothers me is the directional. I tend to get my tires rotated every oil change. This is really the main thing holding me back and pushing me toward the the AS plus 3. The one thing I do like is Costco has the CC2's and the costco warranty is good. The As Plus 3 are through Acura and run roughly the same price

what is important to you in tires? Cost?, tread life? dry handling? wet handling? road noise? snow? ride harshness? the list goes on. w/o knowing what's important to you hard to make a recomendation. My favorite tire might be one you would hate and get rid of or vice versa
Good all weather tires
4 year ago I put a set of Nokian, WR3 tires on my MDX and have been very happy with them. They are "all weather" rather than "all season", a higher rating for winter driving, important to me since I live in Minnesota. They are rated at 50,000 miles, I have 49,000 on them now and there is enough tread left to get through this winter yet, 5/32 to 6/32. WR4 is essentially the same tire but with a 60,000 mileage rating. They give a comfortable ride in the summer, maybe a little bit noisier than some others but I'm willing to live with that to get great traction in the winter. I gave them a good trial by going up a fairly steep hill with 6 inches of snow on the ground and had very little slippage. I am very pleased with them and will probably get a new set next year.
I have had great luck using Pirelli Sottozero’s for winter driving as it makes a huge difference driving in wet and snowy conditions in colder temperatures and then swap over to the Michelin Pilot A/S for the late spring, sumner and fall. Running the two sets of tires definitely improves the handling and stopping power on my Acuras.
