Don't know about dongle, but GROM Vline2 is working perfectly with Wireless Android Auto for me.

I have the Motorola ma1 on our 2019 MDX hybrid advanced. plugged it in, went through the quick install and it's been working great. Our MDX was one of the first 2019 hybrids made based on the SN and build date.

That begs the question, how did MCRacer's Motorola ma1 work, and stuart1270's didn't? MCRacer stated Advance Hybrid model, stuart1270, no idea, although same model year.

I found that on my 18 advance cpo, both front chargers were dead but smartphone plug was good. Turned out to they sold it that way with fried chargers from a soda spill. It was burned to a crisp internally from a spill. I got a replacement dual USB charger on eBay from a wrecked vehicle and now it works great. Perhaps you spilled something into your smartphone USB outlet?

with the motorola system I found you MUST follow the SETUP instructions which say to FIRST plug the phone into the usb port till the car recoginzes it then unplug it and then plug in the motorola adapter then pair everything. Once that is done, it has been working fine on our 2019

Just to avoid creating another thread. Did anyone buy CPLAY2air for their Apple Carplay? I want to go wireless for our 2020 MDX. Any suggestions? Thanks

How good/bad is the latency? Also, is there a good Qi wireless charging pad for MDX?

I have not noticed any latency. I believe it initially connects to the unit via bluetooth, then through an established WiFi connection hence my guess the problem free performance.

As for wireless charging, I use one of these and it sits on the wood-grain rubber covered, center console lid plugged into the regular USB outlet in the console and routed from behind. No problems using both concurrently.

You can try this. Carlinkit's latest Wireless Andorid Auto Dongle - Carlinkit A2A. Starts up fast, works with the Google assistant, maps, Spotify, Tidal, soundcloud, YouTube, and calls/text messages/WhatsApp. Carlinkit A2A is have Android Auto just connect automatically and be there without having to do anything for day-to-day trips, which are all much less than 30 minutes.

No issues with my AAWireless device. I was an early indiegogo supporter and it was a bit unstable a year ago, but with software updates it is now seamless and no different from my 22 RDX with built in wireless.

Some limitations I've learned over the year:
- My phone (Z Flip 4) can only connect to two bluetooth devices at a time. If I have my Samsung watch and bluetooth headset connected, I need to shut one off before it connects to my car's wireless AA
- When buying a new phone, Samsung Smart Switch does a horrible job with moving over Android Auto settings. Usually I have to clear cache/data on Google Play Services, Android Assistant, Android Auto, and Google apps to get a new phone to connect the first time.
