MDX 2014 seats get warm

My 2014 mdx seats get uncomfortably warm after sitting in them for only 10-15 minutes (heated seats are not on). My back and legs get very warm. Is this normal? I didn't have this problem with my TL or in my wife's Toyota Sienna (leather- non perforated seats).

Hello and welcome to AZ! You confirmed that everything is shut off? What is your ac setting on ? Try putting it to the coldest to see if the seats get cool. If it still gets hot, then it could be an issue with the heating/cooling system and it might be best to have the dealer check it out.

Brought it to dealer yesterday who confirmed everything is working properly. Is this leather supposed to be warm when sitting on it?

If the dealer says there is no issue then I'm not sure man. Since i'm in South Florida, I've had the seat cooler on mine running all the time. It actually gets cool and nice.

I don't have vented seats....I guess maybe that's the problem. Still, I wouldn't expect my seats to get that warm...

Turn off all HVAC ventilation, then try seating in the second row or even the third row if your MDX has heated 2nd row seats.

Now you can compare and see if it is the leather seat alone that's warming up your bottom.

I can confirm that I don't have the same issue in my car, which leads me to believe there may be something with either the seat-warming circuitry or your butt .
