Are they OEM? This would be an awesome change...just to look a little different.

 

Can't wait to see what this looks like...I would much rather have amber rear turn signals instead of the red...but that is just a weird OCD thing on my part. Ha.

 

They are OEM for the China Domestic Market Acura. Most oversea vehicles require signals to be amber and cannot have red signal.

Gotta love China car styles... They're getting better, but it never gets old looking at their choices.

 

I like the look... But I can only imagine how much $$$ those cost, and how that is probably not worth it for such a minor difference.

 

I would love amber turn signals. I think it should be required in North America, like Europe etc.

Just installed. Also brought some CREE LED for the signal and brake. Will installed this weekend,

 

So you did the install? What was the level of effort? Looks nice.

 

I gather you're LEO so the lack of DOT compliance is a non-issue?

 

Installation is a breeze. Just need to remove the weather striping and just remove 2 screws per tail lamp and slide it out. Unplug the sockets and you are done.

 

Its not DOT but as long as your signal is either red or amber then you are good. I had a set of CDM Tail Lamp on my 2004 TL before and the signal are clear also.

 

So how many $$$ were these, and can your friend source more (I'd order some if the price isn't too crazy). Thanks.

They are not cheap. With shipping it cost me $674. Unlike US Spec parts where they have in stock, CDM parts do not come in stock and are being made in small batches.
It took me about 2 months to order. And in order to get spare parts, they need to have your VIN and be sure that this vehicle is yours. I was lucky enough because my friend's
father owns an Acura dealership in some province at China. Don't expect any discount where most US based Acura parts offer discounted price. China Acura do not have
discount on parts and there is not a lot of people in China buys Acura. A typical MDX in China cost about USD$80 - $90K. For that price, most people in China buys BMW or
Audi. Acura is still a niche market in China. I also ordered a set of CDM headlamp since December of last year so I should be getting it in a few week. That cost me about $3700
