Hi guys, new member here. Just bought the 2015 Black on Black MDX SH-AWD with Tech about a month ago. I parked the car in the garage and my wife accidentally opened the tail gate and hit the garage door. The tail gate now has 2 small paint chip protruding the metal on the bottom edge. I did some touch up but hated the fact that they are there. I've been looking around to shop for a tail gate chrome trim. I only see it is available for the 2013 MDX model. Anyone see any, thanks.

thanks but I will not even considered. These door trims reminded me of the 90's when the accord and camry all had that trim. I was looking at the one for the RDX, looks pretty good. Dont know what is the length of it. Thanks..

 

Im not imagining what you are trying to do. We have a 2015 RDX and don't see any accessory for chrome trim to protect the edge, except for the clear tape stuff for door edges. Good luck!

 

Thanks for the reply. You know the bottom portion of the tailgate, the bottom edge on my MDX, when my wife opened the tailgate and it hit the garage door. Im trying to cover it up by install an adhesive chrome trim...

Now I see. Im sure its a matter of time that they make it.

 

For future reference, you can manually open the tailgate and not let the motor open it so you can let it slowly hit/ rest on the garage door so it doesn't chip. Just hold the tailgate button until you hear a couple of beeps (hold for a few seconds). You can open the tailgate manually,,,

That tailgate trim is actually for the 2013 MDX not RDX, anyone knows or own the 2013 MDX and can take the measurement for me please? If it is off by 1/2 inch, I might just get it. Thanks
