Gen 2 TSX TPMS info needed

Various posts I dug up say there may be a few different options for TPMS for TSX (TL etc), but I've read conflicting reports on what works with the newest generation TSX. (Mine's a 2012 wagon). According to Acura, the actual part for my car is 42753TL2A52. Can't find these for much less than the ridiculous $102 each quoted by my dealer's parts dept. Any help would be appreciated in finding what I need to get set up. My new wheels arrived today, so I'm hot to get them on the car.

I'm still fairly new at all this, bud. All I know is when I went to order my wheels and tires recently the guy I spoke with told me that I was better off using the ones I already had in the stock tires and saving the $500 dollars. Also you won't have to worry about any compatibility issues. Hope that helps!

Thanks, AniMaLisTiK. That's probably what I'll do unless someone comes forward with a better option. (It would be nice if I could leave the stockers set up-I have plenty of garage space).

you can use rdx tpms sensors. You can usually get them pretty cheap on ebay. I think spongebill confirmed that the rdx tmps sensors worked on the 11-12s. goodluck.

So I'm guessing the TPMS sensors on the 1st Gen TSX's will not work?

I dont think anyone has confirmed that yet. Although they are by the same manufacturer. So it might work. check out the tpms site below. Both are manufactured by pacific. You want to stay away from the sensors by TRW. They are 100% not compatible with our cars. I can confirm that the rdx sensors work with the 09-12 tsxs.

problem with that is if you run a winter and summer set, you gotta unmount and remount your tires and swap out the TPMS every year...twice. Unless you shit out money, that can add up. It's cheaper to just buy the RDX sensors and install them on your new wheels.

Correct. Removing/replacing the sensor also increases the chances of damage to the wheel an tire.
