Dropped/lowered/slammed 2G TSX - Pictures, Details, Reviews

Nice, you get a 2G TSX? I'd assume so since you're in this subforum . If so, well, 18x9.5 +35 on 245s will have poke, guaranteed. If you're planning on at least moderately lowering the car (1 or 2 finger gap left), you may rub with natural camber. I'm on 18x9 +30 on 235/40s in the front, and there's maybe a little under 1cm of poke, and although it's rare I do rub once in a really long while. Should be very similar with your desired specs. But if you can pull it off, it will be a very nice meaty setup . I wanna go 245s too but I'm afraid I'll need probably -2.5 degrees of camber up front or so to do it.
Yes, I bought a 2010 6 speed blk/blk. It will be lowered but im thinking 245/255 might be a little too much. Im not looking to tuck tire but 1 or 2 fingers will be fine for me. I ran a 234/45 on my legacy gt wheels in the same specs and it was a baby stretch but I still had a lot of tire surface contact. Im curious about how much poke it'll have though. I'd be ok with running up to -2.5 degrees with a fender roll and slight pull. I've been basing everything off Christian Loza's TE37 setup on his TSX. He's running 18x9.5 +40

Looking for some advice.
My goal is to lower my wagon with Koni Yellow shocks by adjusting the perch. Not really looking to lower my car as it's my daily and family vehicle. However, I want to improve the handling and look. Track look.
I'm currently looking at a set of 18x9 +25 wheels and want to run a 245 or 255 tire with camber kits up frot to get some negative camber. How much will these wheels poke out? I would like to see some meat, but not look like a lowrider or someone who doesn't know what their doing.
If all else fails I will go with a +35 but I will need to change the wheel style since the wheels I like do not come in that offset. Thanks for your help.

I did recently install Ingalls front upper bjs though. My alignment is likely way out of spec now... but I didn't care much for an alignment since I was on my winter setup which I don't care much about. Still need to do a little height adjustment so I've put it off. But I put in the front upper bjs to hopefully get a tad more negative camber. Thinking -2.x degrees. The top of the wheel should "tuck in" just fine after an alignment.
With 255s, you'll very likely need a front kit.

How was the installation on the upper ball joints? Hopefully to tackle my front and rear upper control arms soon after I find a quick placement for my height sensors

It will require fender work.
18x8.5 +35 to 40 with 245's is bolt-on. If you decide to cancel out rear camber, you will want to do it with a LCA kit...not a upper ball joint kit.
I have 18x8.5 +35's on 245/40 MPSS.

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/by3mBUF35eQ/maxresdefault.jpg I'm looking to purchase a set of vossen cv7s but I'm debating whether I should go 19x8.5 or 20x9 as those are the only specs they come in. Really leaning towards 20x9... would 20x9 be a good idea? anybody on here has any feedback, It will be my daily driver just for the spring/summer ? I'm running stock everything and not planning on doing anything to suspension anytime soon

What I learn from reading from these forums is suspension first then wheels.

At risk of sounding like a broken record to many, I'm running 18x9 +30 up front on 235/40R18 Michelin PSS. Wheels poke for sure, and I'm lowered with natural camber. Not slammed by any means... but I've had a couple of rubbing "one-offs" with this setup. 1 finger-gap setup I guess. How much poke? Maybe about 1cm or so. I can take a better look this weekend when I put my wheels back on (still on winter mode ).

The plan was for me to do an oil change and swap the wheels at the same time today. But... this happened
These aluminum nuts are so maleable. One of them stripped and prevented me from taking the 15mm spacer off on the front passenger side. Will have to deal with this first

Sorry to hear. How were you removing that bolt impact wrench?

By hand with a standard socket wrench. Didn't ever put an impact gun on these nuts and they still strip. This one is toasted for sure, but the other ones are very close to giving as well. They are scarred all around. I got it taken off with a nut remover/extractor socket, some hammering, and a little more swearing .

Will be making sure to add anti-seize to avoid your mishap.

2009 TSX Tech package 6 speed manual
134k miles
Koni yellows with H&R springs.
2017 TLX wheels with 225/50/18 tires, little too big for the car so it's raised just a bit. (Wearing these out to get some 235/45/18, got em for a good deal haha)
