Dropped/lowered/slammed 2G TSX - Pictures, Details, Reviews

Please post pictures of your TSX on lowering springs or coilovers, various angles are always welcome, and any drop specs you can provide. This will be a great resource for everyone, so thanks in advance.

Details requested:
  1. Pictures - please at minimum provide a level, side view shot in good lighting showing the drop clearly
  2. Type of lowering set up - what springs/coils you have
  3. Estimated drop amount relative to stock. For example, 1" lower than stock in front and 0.5" lower than stock in the rear.
  4. Height from ground to fender, all around, if possible
  5. Any camber adjustments, camber specs, modifications like camber arms, etc.
  6. Any fender modications
  7. Tire size used, because this does impact the way the drop looks and whether fender work is needed
  8. Reviews, thoughts, comments on the ride, handling, installation, etc

Hope that covers it, but feel free to add more details if I've missed anything.

Here's an example to get us started. This is Mr Octo's ride, and I will PM him for permission and maybe he can fill in what I've missed.

Pictures (top one is before and after drop):

Type of lowering set up - Eibach springs
Estimated drop amount relative to stock - 1.0 front 1.0 rear, PN 4077.140, per catalog
Height from ground to fender - NA
Camber details - SPC rear camber arms
Fender mods - None
Tire size - 245/35/19, per his FS thread
Reviews, thoughts, comments - see his other threads here (note he's had two CU2s but used the same springs and rims on both):

hahah i wondered if you actually did this the other day.
i gotta admit, it looks better than i thought it would.

i wouldnt do it but yea.. much better than i thought it would.

you should add some metalizer or glossifier to it. i bet it would pop more then.

1.megans ez street
2.drop 1/2 inch above maxed megans
3. camber is -2 fronts, -4 rears
4. wheel size is 18x8.75 all around front+35, rear +20 tires are 215/40/18
5.fenders are rolled/sllightly pulled
6.review- at my current height the ride is really bumpy cuz my stiffness setting is on stiffest. can't really say anything about handling either since i can't drive fast without worrying about dips/bumps lol. front is about 3 inchs off the floor.

1. lowered on megan coilovers
- about -1.75" lower in the front, -1.5" lower in the back. i adjusted my height so
many times that these are just rough estimates.
- front and rear are 4 clicks away from the hardest settings.
- in pics it doesn't seem like it's much of a drop, but everything is different once you start driving. so be aware.
2. Forgestar cf10
- 19x9.5 +42 front, with a 3mm spacer = +39
- 19x9.5 +30 rear
- 235/35/19 michelin ps2 all around. SLIGHT stretch. these tires run true to size or run
large, so the stretch is minimal.
3. J-POWER camber arms
- toe is 0, camber is -1.5/-2
4. Fender work needed!!!!
- rear fender shaved, bumper taps shaved as well. NO PULL NEEDED
- front is slightly pulled, however i didn't need it at all!!
5. Review
- This is a semi aggressive set up, took a lot of time and adjustment to make it perfect
for me to daily drive with it. i think i should be able to go softer on the comfort, but
it's not too bad right now. i don't rub at all, have about 1 finger gap all around.
Over all, it's a good set up for daily driving I think, but gotta drive carefully and do a
lot of research before going for a semi aggressive or super aggressive set up.

  1. Pics above.. new wheels coming.. vossen cv3 19x8.5/10
  2. D2 coils
  3. I would say about 2.5"
  4. ? not sure im riding pretty low though
  5. running front and rear spc full camber kit and arms
  6. rolled fenders
  7. 225-35-19/245-35-19
  8. Car handles great only down side i believe front camber kit hits on hard bumps. have to re adjust ride height or stiffen up the coils.

Tein SS coilovers about max drop.
Not exactly sure how low I am, but I would say about 1.5 inches front and 1.4 rear would be a fair estimate.
I have an eibach 6 arm rear alignment kit and all is perfectly aligned and performs great.

Well they give you a lot of thread on the shock body but the springs are very very short. So you have very little adjustment range since the coil does t get preloaded by the shock collar until about 90% of the thread is used.

So you could go lower but you'd have some dangerous situations when you topped out your shock while driving as there'd be no force pushing the wheels to the ground.

They do as they are advertised. They ride well, are adjustable from 1 being close to stock to 16 which would be very firm. I have them set on 4 out of 16 and it rides nice and compliant. People like my mom and clients do not even notice it is lowered as it rides similar, almost better than stock. It handles like a real aggressive sports sedan now, I like it.

Lowered 15mm from stock using KONI Yellow shocks and stock springs. Height from center of wheel to fender lip is around 14 1/2" front / 14" rear, sometimes a bit lower. Camber is all stock.

Best description I can have is it feels OEM, but better in every way. Spring is less preloaded so ride is more comfortable IMO, and better controlled.
