Dude
Didn't know where else to post this and don't feel like making a build thread so it goes here:
19x8.5 et34 with 245/35/19. These Dunlops run pretty skinny. My Continental 235/45/18 were just as wide as these. Might go lower.
Installed the front sports bumper and skirts recently.

Dude
Thanks guy. I bought the car as the perfect daily and had no intentions of modding it. Will get the rear when i decide what i'm doing with the exhaust (either getting tips or a cat back - kinda want a cat back - already have the PCD).
I'm lowered on my previous car's (2009-2012 Honda Accord) Tein Basis coilovers. When i found out they fit this chassis, i had to mod the car.

decided to make a new post since my setup is different now.
1. Megan EZ coilovers, not sure since ive adjusted so many times. prob around 3" drop
2. -.5 up fronts, -4.5 rears
3. rolled rear fenders
4. Work VS-XX, Fronts(18x9.5+28)[3"lip], Rears(18x10.5+28)[3.5"lip]
5. Federal 595 225/35/18, Hankook evo V12 245/35/18
6. ride got even worse from my old XXR setup because of the 35 tirewall. and for fitment wise, there is no more room to play with i am literally 2-3mm away from rubbing my tires with -4.5 camber.

Hey guys I really like this setup and would like to do something similar but minus the exact wheels and minus the coilovers. I want to just get lowering springs cuz I've done the whole coilovers thing and don't really want to go that route again. Will something similar to this still look good on just lowering springs? I'm not good at visualizing this lol
As per HeelToe:
Spring Rate (F/R, kgf/mm): 7.8/4.1
Lowering F/R: -1.6/-1.4 Inches Down
https://www.heeltoeauto.com/tein-sus...b90-aub00.html
You won't be achieving that look with a 1.6" drop on 18s with a mild-moderately stretched tire. I'd say you'll need at least a 2.x" drop. SlickxAc claims it was about a 3" drop in this setup.

As far as I know (and someone can correct me if I'm wrong), the lowering springs that give the lowest drop are the TEIN S Techs. And they don't drop that much...

M2 Springs give the lowest drop. 2" F/R if I recall correctly.

09 TSX w/ tech pkg in Premium White pearl.
1. Have H&R sport lowering springs
2. Drop is about 1.25"
3. Camber adjustments Front left -0.3 Front right -0.7 Rear left -2.5, rear right -2.7 .
4. No fenders mods
5. Honda Factory Performance Wheels 19"
6. Hancook Ventus Evo V12 summer tires (245/40)
These springs have OEM quality ride and there is no rubbing. Would highly recommend.

Has anyone seen a 2nd gen tsx with RPF1's??
I had them on my RSX and loved them!! I wouldn't mind getting them again for my TSX but I have a terrible imagination and can't imagine what they will look like.

Haven't seen one with RPF1s. The 2G with its bigger almost everything in comparison to the 1G makes sportier looking wheels harder to pull off. But, I believe it's doable. Get 18s with a thicker rubber; I love that look. I wish my tires were a bit beefier. But otherwise, I'm pretty content with the way my XD9s look.

Love the ride of the buddy club n+ but recently I'm hearing knocking sound on the front passenger side when hitting road bumps. Checked and everything is tight. Is the shock blown? Don't see any leaks as well
Any ideas?

The N+ have been known for that. it's that way on the RSX shocks on them as well. Quite a few people complain within a few thousand miles of owning them.

I actually fixed it! The problem was the tophat washer is hitting the swaybar because the coilover washer is bigger than stock. I just placed a rubber pad between the washer and the sway bar and the knocking sound went away 😀

Question, what tire specs would I go with if I was looking for 18Inch-19inch rims, I want to keep the tires thick instead of low pros because of the serious pot-holes in the city and I don't plan on changing my suspension anytime soon either...

It depends on the width of the wheel soupi. Are you getting 8" wide wheels or 9.5-10" wide wheels?
This is closer to an extreme, but nonetheless... a 245 on a 10" wide wheel is not going to look thick. And even if it's 245/40 which is pretty thick sidewall measurement wise, the tire stretch will still leave your wheels vulnerable to potholes and the like.
Look at the various wheel/tire/suspension threads. There's plenty of info in there to get you started. If you want 8" wide wheels, then get 235 and up. 9" wide wheels, go 245 and up.
The second digit (i.e., 245/40 tells you how thick the sidewall will be, as a percentage of the tire width. So, 245/40 means the sidewall will be 245mm * 40% = 98mm thick. Your stock Michelins are 225/50/17, meaning the sidewall will be 112.5mm thick. Play with this sort of math with the new setup (bearing in mind tire stretch on wider wheels) to figure out the look you want. There are plenty of threads on here with a number of examples to wrap your head around.
Good luck

^^^^but for our cars, for 18", it's still at a 45 sidewall, which is plenty thick. Get a 235/45/18 for a 8.5" wheel and you'll be fine. and then 19" just get 245/40/19; this is taller than the 225/50/17 tire but you won't notice - better than you getting the 245/35/19 tire (which i have and it's not bad at all).
use willitfit.com and see what you're comfortable with and like xtcnrice said, look around these forums, hell even this thread, for info.

245/40/19 is about .86'' taller than the stock tire. That would throw the speedometer a bit...and might look a little funny. But maybe wouldn't be too bad. They also have quite a bit less sidewall than stock.
If he doesn't want low profile tires, he should stay away from 19's altogether. 245/40/18 is about the same diameter as the stock tire...but you lose about .5'' of sidewall per radius.
He could maybe use a 255/40/18 if he wants a little more sidewall. Or maybe 235/45/18, depending on the wheel width.

Wait...do you mean that the top hat washer was hitting the strut tower bar?
Either way, that's kind of weird. Are your top hats center nuts tight? The bushing shouldn't really be moving unless you're hitting the bump stops or if the top hats are loose.
Hopefully you didn't use the spring height adjustments to lower the car with those N+'s? That would cause a lot of issues....
It seems like a lot of suspension clunking issues can be related back to the top hats. For some reason, TWO of my top hat center nuts came loose on my Tein SA's.
Worn sway bar end links are also a source of clunking as you hit bumps that are offset on one side. Just some helpful info for other people.

Yeah dave you're right about thickness of 245/40s. I was just trying to make the point that tire stretching is usually an oversight for noobs. 245/40 may still be a thick tire, but it won't effectively protect the lip of a 10" wheel from pot holes as they'd still stretch.
I do agree though. soupi should just do 235/4X on a 8.5" or so wheel unless he has other specific goals that he hasn't mentioned.

2. Megan EZ Streets
3. ~1.5 inches lower all around
4.Subtract 1.5 inches from stock lol
5.Stock alignment components
6. Rears rolled, fronts untouched
7. 235/35/19
8. Very impressed with the Megans. Dampening set at half right now and you can feel a little more bumps than stock but not to noticeable.
