19x8.5 45 ET or 40ET or 35ET or 20ET??

19x8.5 45 ET or 40ET or 35ET or 20ET??
Pretty sure I am going to go with these wheels. They are offered in all of these offsets. Which would require the least mods? They are concave style wheels and also wondering which would be the most concave with all things being equal?
I do plan on going with Tein coilovers as well.

45 is pretty weak with a 8.5 width. Unless you want to run factory camber out back?
I have +38's with 245/40/18. Natural camber (like -2.5), and they just clear the stock front and rear lips.
Front natural camber is like -0.5 or so.

What do you mean 'weak'? Not aggressive looking?
I have no problem doing a camber kit as well. I plan on lowering 1.5"-2".
Would like to keep the ride quality good and not go too low.

The higher the offset, the less agressive the wheel fitment. Meaning that the outboard face of the wheel sits inboard of the fender wall.
*IF* you are buying a camber kit to return to stock settings, and you want to leave your fenders 100% stock, then the +45 will work.
I have 8.5" wide wheels with a +38 offset, and 245/40 tires.
I am also lowered 1.5-2".
My camber ended up around -0.5 front and -2.5 rear.
I did not buy a camber kit. If I adjust my rear camber positive at all...I will have to roll my fender lips so that the tires don't rub on it.

9.5 +45 worked for me on 235/40r18. 245s? I can't guarantee no rub on the fronts. But 9.5 +35 will rub with those specs for sure. You'll need something less comfy like 225/35r19 for that to work, but like Roland said, it won't look good at stock height.

40 series? What width? If you're talking about 245mm width, then 245/40 will be quite a bit taller than a 245/35 (almost 1" taller). They will both be the same width. The width is usually what makes things rub.
The second set of numbers (40, for example) is based on the first set.
245/40 = 245mm wide. 40% of 245mm per sidewall. About 196mm total.
235/35 has 171mm total sidewall.
They're not even close to being a "you can use either" size.
245/40/19 is about 1" taller in diameter than the stock 225/50/17.

There is a suspension megathread go there and look at the cars and copy someones wheel specs. Simple as fuck.

i posted my car in the wheel set up thread. i don't rub at all but i'm not super dumped on coilovers - just pretty low it gives me just enough problems - since i actually drive my car through the crappy streets of philly.
when i ordered my tires, tirerack actually called me and tried to get me to get a 245/40/19 size instead, but i told them no since it was too tall.

Mmm... No its genuinely simple. This is a 5 year old+ forum and all of the resources for basic wheel fitment are numerous and plenty. There is an entire subforum hosting years of similar posts and a compiled thread to make it even easier
But you know what youre right you might be the first person to ever run 19x8.5. Should be sick.
