Hey guys,

Still new to the forums (I actually think this is my first post on AZ), I'm mostly active on TSXclub. Anyways, here is a handful of pics of my wheel set-up. I had been looking for these wheels for well over a year and by a chance encounter found some dude who was selling a brand new set, in almost the exact specs I wanted so I copped them from him. Let me know what you think!

Specs:
- VMR V710 5x114 18x9.5 +50 Gunmetal
- 5mm Front / 20mm Rear - Ichiba
- Rear is rolled
- Dropped on Megan EZ
- Wrapped in Falken ZIEX ZE912 All Season 235/40/18

Damn, too slow to edit again :P

I didn't know VMR made 18" V710s in 5x114.3. Are those actually 19" wheels? They look awesome.

Looks great, needs more low! I usually dont like that type of wheel style but it flows nice on this one.

Btw how come you just didnt get lower offset from the get go? Instead of using spacers

Car looks good. What exhaust setup and what suspension setup for the drop?

Did some research... I don't think VMR offers 5x114.3 bolt pattern on an 18" V710. Wheelflip did offer at one point, an 18x9.5 +50 V710 drilled to 5x114.3 as a special offering for S2000s (why they chose +50 for this "project" is beyond me).

They are for sure 18", lol. They were re-drilled to 114.3.

Thank you! I had well intended on doing a lower offset. I had contacted VMR to get a quote for 18x114.3 + 33, but that was a but steep for my budget. I was searching craigslist one day and came across some guy selling a brand new, never mounted set, but with +50 and couldn't pass on it. So...had to go with spacers.

Thanks dude! They're actually mufflers. Megan Racing M-VO to be exact. I'm on Megan EZ's lowered about 3 inches from stock. 3 clicks from hardest setting

Ding Ding, we have a winner. These are thee exact wheels that was done via Wheelflip.

Backstory: I was searching craigslist one day and some guy was selling his set that he intended on putting on his S2K, but sold his car and had no need for the rims. I reached out to him, checked them out, and took them off his hands.

Ah ok that makes sense why offset is so high, s2k cant run low offset due to brake clearence

Car looks great!

I'm curious if you had to dial any camber into the front to get the 9.5s to work?

I just lowered my 2012 wagon and I'm debating on doing 18x9.5 +40 Niche Targas on it, but I bolted one up without a tire to test fit and it's going to be SUPER close. I want it to look aggressive, but not at the cost of rubbing. I'm fine with a little roll and pull, but ultimately this is a shared car with my GF so I can't go too insane. Any tips would be appreciated. Love your sedan!

I ran the same setup as OP on my first set of wheels. No front fender rolling needed on a mild/moderate drop on 235/40/r18 tires. If you go beefier, you will probably have problems as I do remember the fronts being quite close. And since yours have 5mm more poke, it's gonna be close. I can't guarantee it won't rub (depending on your ride height), but from my experience and OP's, we don't rub with 18x9.5 +45 on 235/40/r18.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Yeah, I'm so torn on it, because I love the ease of driving the car right now, and I don't want to sacrifice that all. But these wheels look SO GOOD in 9.5 +40 because of the concavity. So if I can make them work, I want to. I'm cool with rolling the rear, and hopefully a little hand pull in the front would do the trick.

Here's the car with its current drop, and the wheel during a quick test fitting:

Thanks! ST (from KW) coilovers. I definitely recommend them if you want a ride similar to stock with a little sharper handling.

Hah, thanks.

Here's a shot from the side. We didn't have any time/tools left to jack the wheel up into the fender to see how much it would pull in, so it looks crazy from the side haha. I guess I need to just find some time to go mess with it again, but it's challenging since I just moved and have no tools. Maybe I'll go grab a cheap jack from Sears on Black Friday or something.
