Window and lock electrical problem

I have a 2010 Acura TSX 2.4. Driver window switch doesn’t do anything. Rear windows will operate from their own switches but nothing for driver and passenger window, or locks. I can lock my car with my key fob and doesn’t work at drivers. Also trunk button not working but can open it from key fob.

i have tested every fuse in underhood, driver, and passenger with Ohm meter. I visually inspected removable fuses in underhood and tested the Under dash relays with Ohm meter. My driver window is down and I can’t find anything online to help. Thanks in advance!

When did it start happening? Did it start as intermittent and then go full broken?

Were you doing anything leading up to the problem?

Suggest getting codes extracted from system. 'This should provide guidance.

Wiring diagram is attached. Faults could be bad switches in driver's door or damaged wiring (door-body either side but drivers gets opened the most).

good luck

It first happened a few weeks ago, radio and AC also went out last time. I replaced 2 blown fuses and it all went back to normal until this time

You rock! I wasn’t able to find the wiring diagram for 09+ anywhere, I’ll give it a shot.

Ben,
You can close your driver window by hot wiring the window motor. Disconnect the wire connector at the motor and then give it a hot and ground, if window doesn't move then just reverse the polarity.

TexasHonda

Can you post the power window circuit diagram too? TIA

Yellow and black wires to close the driver window.

Green and black wires to open the driver window.

Yellow and green are hot wires.

Black is negative or ground wire.

If you have verified all the fuses are good (esp #24, 20A and #16, 7.5A), with a meter, not your eye, I would proceed as follows:

Following TexasHonda's line of thought, I agree that it's probably the wiring going to the drivers door switch bank, or the switch bank itself. If you can get to the back of the switch bank, look for power on the #25 terminal (white) to any good ground, and #14 (Lt Green). If you have power there, suspect your ground wire #37* (Black) or #32* (black). Connecting a meter to green or Lt Green and black should give you 12V with the car on.

If there is voltage at the switch, the switch itself may be failing.

* Any one know the difference between SG and PG on this diagram? Both go to ground, curious as to why the different designation.

If the fuses check out, then it could be a faulty Multiplex Control unit, which, I think, is embedded in the driver's power window / door lock switch unit.

TexasHonda, thanks for this, but I think we are missing a page or two from the door lock stuff. Says cont'd on bottom of third page, and I don't see any connection to the driver;s door switch. Off page connector J goes off for passenger side, never to appear. The driver;s side under dash on page 1 shows relays, but no switches.

Or am I missing something more obvious?

Probably the driver's window master switch is defective. A salvage part shouldn't be too hard to find and fairly inexpensive.

Assuming you didn't miss a bad fuse.

Looking into the door lock and power window circuitry, I am definitely leaning further away from fuses, and more into wiring or the MICU.

4 or 5 different fuses in play, and very little in common between locks and windows, except the fuses 5 & 16, which power up the drivers MICU. Without them, lots of stuff on the car wouldn't work, so maybe one of those two wires going through the door to body area. Or their associated grounds being bad (Looks like 4 grounds, not sure how well they are separated from each other inside the MICU.)

Any luck on a fix??

I have a 2009 Acura TSX, just recently my passenger door controls wont work. The lock buttons on this side wont work, the window button doesnt work, the power mirror on this side wont work, along with the trunk button not working and my locks are not automatically locking when I drive the car.
All the locks still lock with my fob, and the trunk opens with my fob.
I have replaced the battery in the car, checked all the fuses, and replaced the wiring subharness in the passenger side door....still not working. Any ideas on fix?

Thanks,
Shawnna Rossotto

I also have a 2009 TSX. 113kmiles. Not a problem until recently- all of these issues simultaneously: passenger side door lock won’t work from inside, power window front passenger side won’t work at all from any switch, and the passenger side mirror won’t work. Trunk button on outside doesn’t work but I can open from inside switch or key fob. And lastly, my doors don’t seem to be automatically locking when I drive. When I get out to lock the car it used to flash lights and beep- doesn’t do that but still locks. I checked the fuses on the passenger floorboard- they’re good.
Please tell me -what did you do to resolve your issue?
