gas door won't open

Hi guys,

I just got gas today and everything seemed fine. I washed the car and went to open the gas door to wipe it out and it won't open. I tried locking and unlocking the car and it still won't open. Any tips? Thanks...

besides dealer, no tip. its supposed to be linked to the lock/unlock. unlock your car and see if you can pop your trunk(make sure the switch in your glove box is disabled). if you can, try to open the gas door. if not. well... you have until your tank runs out to get to the dealer lmao. try pressing it in with some more pressure, or a swift hit with an open palm. just don't dent the car lol

Actually, there are instructions in the owner's manual on removing the trunk cladding to release the gas cap lid. Let me see if I can find it.

For the wagon, the instructions are on pg 300 (Handling the unexpected)

Awesome, thank you very much! This may be helpful in the future. I was actually able to open it with my fingers, the button that depresses was stuck in. I was able to free it up and it seems ok now.

I still need to determine why my 2009 Acura TL gas fuel door button isn't working (it shares panel with the Trunk button -- and the Trunk Button is working fine). If anyone has any clues / ideas; please keep me posted if possible. Meanwhile -- I'll inquire in the 4th Gen Acura TL Section.
