I went to get gas on the way to work. Pulled up, & the gas door wouldn't open. I pulled up the lever, & nothing. I hit it lightly & it still wouldn't open. Guess it's a trip to the dealer, unless anyone knows a way to get it open. Is it cable, or electronic operated? Worked fine last week.

 

It is cable operated.Have an assistant hold the lever up then use a thin tool to pry the door open.If the door does not spring open chances are the small spring that makes this happen fell off .It is a very common occurance .The dealer will replace the spring and adjust it for you .Jens

 

I had that problem on my '01. I had my wife pull the release, and I grabbed the door with my finger and pulled it open. I just bent the little catch tab a bit, and it never had a problem after that.
