car wants to start but it just can't
I have a 2010 tsx and recently my car will not turn on whatsoever. At first I thought it was the battery thinking that was the issue but it still won't turn on. when I try to turn it on, it just cranks but won't actually turn on. I tried pressing the gas pedal repeatedly and after it awhile just makes this really ugly sound. I can smell the gas burning right after I stop pressing the gas pedal. I've been told that it could be the fuel pump or starter but I'm not sure.
Someone please help.

If engine turns over OK, starter is not the problem. Low fuel pressure could cause your symptom, but so could faulty crankshaft sensor. Diagnostics are necessary to isolate the fault.
An easy test is to attempt start w/ starter fluid sprayed into intake air(5-10 sec blast into open air duct). If car starts briefly fuel pressure is low/missing. If no start, then spark is missing.
good luck

you may have flooded the engien with so much gas pressing.
Spark plugs make spark. If they don't work, your spark plugs or coils are at fault.

Yeah, check codes. You can get one of those cheap Bluetooth OBDII readers on eBay for like, $20, then install the Torque App for free on your phone. That's a good inexpensive way of getting the diagnostic codes.
Have you checked all your fuses?
