then he told me that the brake wear, which they notice is only on the rear brakes, is not because something is wrong with the car but because the car is heavier than the past models and smoother. Which means that drivers aren't aware how fast they're driving and have to hit the brakes harder, to slow/stop.
i'd just laugh and walk out of there and go somewhere else

Sorry I haven't really been keeping up with this stuff but no I don't have access to the whole list. I just got the numbers from google. They are correct and i had most of them done. If you have the numbers for the TSBs you can call the dealer and reference them directly then they will "magically" find them, otherwise call Acura from the dealer and let them talk directly to service. The dealer should not care because the service/warranty work is paid to them directly so they aren't ever out of pocket so to speak.

My Acuralink has never worked even with 4 or 5 different phones I have had. Yes some of them had a data plan.

FYI this is supposedly a problem with the IPhone and a few others specifically. I say supposed because I have had IPhone since I bought the car and it worked then it stopped and the new ones worked intermittently.

Question

Hi all-

I'm a new Acura owner. I bought it used with 52,000 miles. Can I get these TSBs done on my car? Or does the warranty have to still be active as well as brought in by the original owner?

My front brakes are squealing and the original owner has already changed the rear brakes. Any info would be great, TIA for your help!

4. Remove the front brake hose mounting bolt.
5. Remove the brake caliper lower flange bolt, then
pivot the caliper up out of the way.
6. Remove the front brake pads, the shims, and the
retainers.
7. Check the brake disc thickness.
Maximum refinishing limit:

Unhappy Help!

I have a 2010 TSX with 25K miles. The front break pads "have 6mm left" and have "warped front rotors requiring replacement". I can't see the full TSB from Acura. The link isn't found anymore and the Acura TSB database is a fee-based site.

I was told that "this is considered normal wear and tear and not covered under warranty". I was confused by it all b/c I clearly wasn't grinding them with break pads (6mm should be okay) and it's not like I have a lot of miles or break aggressively. I probably down-shift more than I should, but I don't break more than I should. I was asked things like, "Do you break a lot? Or do you break quickly on the highway?" ...

I asked if this is a known problem and why it isn't under warranty. I was told it isn't common and it isn't covered because "breaks aren't under warranty". This now certainly sounds like BS.

They also told me my rear pads are at 3mm and the rotors need and can be resurfaced.

All this for only $1100 including my coupons.

Is there a remedy to this situation through Acura NA?

There's a link on here where you can get the TSB, if your car is covered under the TSB I would print it and bring it to the dealer. There was also a Class Action Suit for the rear brakes that entitles you to $150 rebate, not sure if it covers yours based on the VIN. Check out section 6 on this page: http://www.accordsettlement.com/

Don't let the Stealership get over on you.

Hmmm, I have a premium and didn't realize there weren't any speakers in the rear doors! I wonder if they are pre-wired and can be added?

Anti-glare dash pad

Am I missing something here? Literally. That dash pad doesn't seem to do anything to prevent the glare on the display. I was given what appears to be the equivalent of a mouse pad. That's it. Is there something else that is supposed to go with the pad? IMO, the pad actually makes the problem worse. Acura should have replaced the display entirely with an anti glare unit. Does anyone else have the same issue?

mine glares pretty bad i just accept it acura and many other dealers have a hard time doing alot of warranty work cause the company wants to ask them a million questions so unless something is really messed up i just accept it plus being first year for new body style doesnt help on the 09.

Do TSB's ever expire? How can I find out which are the latest, or the still active one's?

Can TSB's still be done after the factory warranty is up or does it need to be done before? i have about 1900 miles and a month and a half left. Is it wrong to print the list out and take it to them and ask them to do all that haven't been done?
