it makes the car look a bit different. It doesn't look bad though, perhaps if you can post pictures from further away to see better the contrast of the grille and the car

Great workmanship, but I think for your color, the silver/chrome grill looks better. For some reason it reminds of how honda used to have dx models that had black plastic side mirrors, handles, and side skirts (dont know if they still do). Makes your car look like a dx acura tsx, if that makes sense.

I like the flow of true chrome (i.e., Euro grille) rather than the brushed OEM look. It seems to flow better with the door handles.

Oh, BTW, you have a leaf stuck in your bottom grille. Pick that crap out.

i think by it self, the grille might look better in silver/chrome. BUT black does not look bad at all, and if that's a theme you want to keep, i think it'll look better once you have other parts to complement it

Lighter colour cars = chrome

Darker colour cars = black

i think this can be the formula used.

honestly, i have grown quite fond of the OEM grille.

I don't follow this formula because when I was about to plasti dip my grille black, I was looking at my neighbors corolla and thought they would look exactly the same from far away. It doesn't look bad I just don't want to look like the car a park next to everyday.

i vote no.
there was a 4G TL posted today at the SEMA show.
it was a matte silver color, butt they wrapped the grill in a silver carbon fiber vinyl.
the contrast was absolutely SEXXXX!

I think with your color car, the black or matte black doesnt look good.
you need to find a color that gives the grill contrast between the grill and the color of the car, or better matching colors

ask some girls what color would look best

I agree with tsx kid. If you are going to paint the grille a different color, I would go with something that flows a little better. Honestly the oem works best I think. Maybe consider a different grille in general if you wanna switch things up.... Or since u plastidipped you can always experiment with different paint colors. Just spray over the plastidip and if u don't like it peel it off and try something else.

I thought this picture was interesting. It has a CT Engineering sticker on the window. The hood was never opened to see what was under the hood, whether it be something simple as an intake or maybe even a supercharger. Sadly CT Engineering wasn't at the SEMA show so I wasn't able to ask.

Btw those are Rotiform wheels and their whole line-up is effing sick. I want to see more of these wheels on 4G TLs.

here ya go!

^ The mufflers used appear to be CT-E mufflers, not ATLP afaik, it was most likely a one off custom exhaust by CT-E which they created and immediately destroyed the plans afterwards

tl;dr - CT-E is fucking retarded and makes no real products

ALL: okay I think the consensus is that black is a no go... I love that TL but I want that exact silver CF finisish for the grille..links would be nice...

New Plan: Sides are staying black and blade CF matte silver...

or CF matte Silver the whole thing??

Thanks guys

Will Post PIcs when done if someone can send me a link for CF matte Silver vinyl I'll get it done even quicker!!!!

You can see all the colors there and choose which one you think will match best, I see silver and graphite being your best color options.

dear bros and broettes, here you can request a sample pack with all the new 3m scotchprint vinyls, they send you a 4x3 sheet or so of all the different ones and its really awesome. I used it to wrap the back of my merc key in cf and had lots of extra and dif colors to play with

just fill it out, wait a week, and feel good yo
