Looks like a metal plate made to cover up the hole for the Honda badge “hole” and Acura badge on top. Curious to see how it looks with the metal part painted.

^looks a lot better now. Good job

edit:
just realized the one with the unpainted metal backing is on the 11+ grille, while this is on the modulo. They both had the same metal backing plate done to them?

Yep, I got that as a backup & a midlife refresh for the car! I normally keep my vehicles for 10 - 13 years.

Yeah, it would cost an arm & a leg with the Euro to Canadian exchange rate. I'll see what my source in Japan can get them for.

Now about that Spirior crap............................. Don't do it again!

When you order the sports bumper, do you have to order the fog vents, and mesh portion too? I think the fog lights mount the same once you take it off the previous bumper right?

The North American part number only shows applicable from 09 to 2010. From 2011 on up you would need to order the fog lamps & induction plates from the 09 to 10 model to complete the installation. The Euro & JDM sport bumper part number includes the fog lamp kit & induction plates.

Yeah I just wanna know when I order my bumper if it'll come with those parts already or I have to order them separately. I kinda didn't understand your post evo9.

Either way I have an 09 PWP, so are you saying the vents and mesh will come with bumper or not?

Since you have an 09, you would reuse your existing fog lights & induction plates. For 2011 on up models these parts would have to be purchase separately 2,8,4,10,5, 11 & 33 from the 09 to 2010 model.

Break down of the 09 to 10

Break down of 2011 on

Joe, you don't need anything else. Only 11+ needs to worry about fogs/grille mesh/etc. Modulo would totally set your car off!

A bit tougher for me to get the Modulo front in my colour since it's not offered in North America. That and, the Canadian dollar has gone to shit Oh well... been spending too much lately anyway

Cool, just submitted a quote at work today!

I keep getting threats from wife, that I either have to decide not to spend any more money on the TSX and wait to get the STi, or forget about the STi and keep the TSX till she blows up..... it's so hard haha. I probably shouldn't be throwing more money at the TSX since I'm itching to upgrade, but it doesn't feel complete yet haha

Is it bad that I already know what my stage 3 kit would be? ~$3000 but...

Full Exhaust
Intake
Throttle body
Port polish blower/manifold
Venom Snout cooler
Cryo-cooler
1000CC injectors
BBK

and maybe.. maybe traction control from hondata.. that might be stage 4 though hahaha

It does not appear to be a wise move to buy the Aero Bumper outside of North America. Shipping cost blowing the $$$ out of the ball park. My source is too high & these guys are also too high.

Your car is still sharp without the Aero front bumper. All it needs is the rest of the world front grille.

You will need 19 of part number 90158-SEY-000 & two of part number 93913-15480 to assemble the new grille. Reuse the top rubber seal from the existing Acura grille. These parts are available locally.

Thanks evo9. Yeah I want that grille (and those headlights)! I wouldn't put the H badge on my car though, so I'd have to find a way to retrofit an A onto it like you did (great job btw).

I may be willing to help you correct that problem. Don't rush on those headlamps. I know one member here personally who has them, & has told me they are not as effective as the originals at night. I did provide that member with the factory specs to adjust them so thread lightly. Also there is the problem of the DRL & cornering lights. I have design a circuit to overcome the DRL problem. Still trying to figure out the cornering light side of thing safely.

Well, as far as I can tell it either has no clear coat or something is just wrong with the paint. It's completely covered with rock chips to the point where it just looks polka-dotted.

Or you know, recommend this fella to sell them for half the cost to the likes of me

just kidding haha. But I've actually been looking to move out and get my own place, so some of the more expensive mods will likely be put on hold unless I find them at an absolute steal

Wise investment! I have family up there in Canada, was talking to my Aunt recently who lives in Scarborough. She mention how expensive homes have gotten up there in recent years. She had bought her home for $180,000.00 some 18 years ago, now that property apprises close to 3/4 of a mil she told me. So yeah, the home investment would be the way to go. The car can wait.

The front sport bumper is ridiculously priced.. Ive been back and forth about getting it.. My front bumper looks like crap because the clear coat looks very dull.. But I have a 2012 so its a bit pricey on my end because I have to get the grille, foglights, mesh, etc..

Your build is awesome btw!!!!

the front sports bumper? From my understanding, the white orchid and bellanova is the same paint code. Is it possible to buy this.

PS love the car. I look at the build thread frequently

Hey there,

Yes Bellanova White and Orchid White are the same paint. Apparently the front sports bumper exists, but only outside of North America. Shipping such a huge item would make this a very expensive part!
