So this oil will last quite a while... how important is it to switch to 10W30 in the winter? And at what temps are we looking at for a necessary change? Cause it stays right around 30F until Jan then our average drops to like 18-20F from Feb-March.
New turbo time the old precision 5858 has seen better days smoking again after rebuild so Vit hooked me up with a Comp Turbo CTX4 6265 a bigger turbo with much freer flowing exhaust side can't wait to try it out
No it was new, the Precision turbos don't seem to last very long, they make great power and sound amazing on spool up but mine lasted about 15,000 miles, the bearings were so worn the compressor wheel hit the housing wearing it down about 4mm, Precision won't sell parts to repair any of there turbos but the bearings are the same as a Garrette TO4E frame turbo so I rebuilt it using the old wheels and amazingly it still worked it didn't have the punch it used to but it started smoking again so it was time to junk it. can't wait to see how this new turbo works, I'm also adding water methanol injection so I can turn up the boost to 25ish LBS I'm hoping, The new mustangs and camaros are getting faster and I must be able to kill them in a roll race, it's very close now with the modded ones
Hey, so are you going to have a manual switch inside your cabin, or will the pump operate based on some MAP sensor of the sort.. or both?

No cool gauge $$$$$, it uses an adjustable switch to turn on at MAP pressure
my kid got a nice Aquamist one, mine is a basic on under higher boost levels it would be awesome for your supercharged setup

There are so many decisions as of late.. I wanna sell/trade and get an STi.. but also kinda wanna keep it, and get some cheapo car and make it a racecar.. but it's still an Acura with nice leather and comfort.. but also Honda is comin out with cool stuff in the next few years too so Im really torn of what to do.
A meth injection setup would be awesome, make it come on at like 5psi or something... uhgggg but another pump to worry about failing.. I wanna do so much.. I literally have all the parts (on a checklist) for some sort of "stage 3" supercharger setup. Just can't pull the trigger since I am having feelings towards Subaru as of late..
ahhhh pretty... how much hp gain do you get on an NA setup? I don't see how it could help thaaaat much since you don't see the heat from a pressurized manifold; then again I have pretty much zero knowledge when it comes to water/meth injection setup and efficiency.

You don't need to change anything to inject water meth, many people add it without re tuning it's just a safety addition not really for adding power unless you want to tune to the edge of detonation then it's like race fuel and you can add more boost pressure.
I used the devils own stage one kit it turns on at 4PSI
My system just turns on at 4 psi with #7 injection nozzle not progressive
My sons is hooked up to injector pulse signal and it uses a solenoid to progressively add meth water at ~20% mixture to fuel it's very adjustable in ramping up the injection rate

I think Vit is the one to ask, seems like 360ish is the highest I've seen.
Do you have all cats removed ? I gained 30WHP on the dyno at 9PSI cutting my stock y and mufflers off it was choking me up bad.
<p>ssjoeboe, do 3" exhaust from the head to the end, you'll see some gains. Maybe CAI with a velocity stack? Lightweight pullies to squeeze that last drop... but from what I've seen I wouldn't recommend.</p>

Yeah dudes are getting big numbers w e85 over gas.. Especially boosted.. I would prob recommend you change your stock fuel pump out first and some gigantic injectors too... Fuel system has to bulk up quite a bit because you are spraying so much more with e85... Some people do blends if the system can't handle pure ethanol. I would just get a dedicated map to just e85 and bulk up. That's how the kid from "the smoking tire" video got those numbers..
Yeah I already got the parts listed out for the so called "stage 3" build.Including DW65a pump, 1200CC (maybe 1500 not sure), Vit big bore inlet, ZDX throttle body,intake, and probably polish my manifold myself. Then I'll have Vit re-tune on pump, and get the E85 at the end... so looking at ~$1000 or so?
Well my kids car is getting fast, it's tuned up to 12-14 LBS spaying a ton water meth and his edyno is over 525 WHP we raced a little bit today 40 MPH rolls (in mexico) it was a blast doesn't look fast but I shift into 4th at 120-125 MPH we kept it just under 140 MPH

@thisaznboy88, he just went with a devils own pressure switch to turn on an extra pump i had laying around. I was going to do a simple diy setup, then you showed me the aquamist kit.

Thank ssjoeboe9. But my dad has to take most of the credit for the build. He's taught me everything i know so far and is there for me when i have a question or or find myself lost.
