Then, we need to do a cross country cruise...

After that, I think I'm going to go junkyard searching for a wrx or sti drivetrain for my DD....
Good luck looking for parts.. Back when I had my wrx and was into scoobies and nasioc my buddy had an 02 wrx setup on his old 2 door 2.5rs, motor and all. It was a bad lil fucker. The factory brakes on the older rs were better two-pot caliper fronts then my newer car and it was lighter so it would move and brake HAARRRD!

I decided to go option one cuz I dont plan on dropping the car much because the roads are shit in San Francisco. Stock shocks and springs work fine for me and i still got warranty on my car so i was thinking if one of the shocks fail on me i can always put the stock springs back and get new ones for free.

I think I'm actually going to look for around a 2006 motor, where they ditched that horrible up pipe configuration...

I'm running the 2.2.2 calibration now and it feels a bit more powerful. Is that the final or are there still more?

^^ I think it's just taking forever to be done.

Dime Feng is tuned by Vit as well and I am currently running that calibration... It's pretty good.

Finally got my car back!!
Got 2 new tunes back with cam angle changes. Looks to me like the high cam is almost done in these 2 maps, so I'm guessing hes going to compare these 2. Ended up going with function& form type 2 coil overs + sport bumper.

Didn't try the new calibrations yet. Been messing around with the coilovers to get the dampeners the way I like. Feels to jumpy :\

Yeah we gutted both our stock up pipes the same day lol such a pain in the arse!! The catalyst in the up pipes is a metal material made to withstand more heat and is literally welded to the walls of the inner pipe.. I was expecting a classic cat-gut with big chunks of ceramic flying out but no no.. Took us over 6 hours to drop the motor mount in my car, remove my up pipe, gut both his and mine and clean the inner walls of the pipes. The things you do to get a free mod. I still liked it better than most of my buddies aftermarket pieces.. They would always leak through the flex, or if no flex put too much stress on the exhaust manifold. Just gut it or get an equal length header b4 swapping and you r all good cuz I think from 06 and on they went to fbw throttles too. Good times. I miss my scooby

P. S. Dime did you paint match the grill yourself or have it done??

Well before I just had the grille plasti dipped matte black but after some asshole hit my car I had the body shop paint match it when they were spraying my hood and fenders.

Download the 2 new maps I uploaded. They are for flashpro 1.8.3 beta so update the flashpro manager. Disconnect the battery for 10 seconds to clear the tpms and check engine light. After upload the map ver. 02.3 or 02.31.

For anyone planning to use my future maps that I upload please update flashpro manager to 1.8.3 beta.

@iCrap
Try the new maps feels like it pulls way harder. Checked knock count, its a safe map. Slightly less knocks the before.
02.3.1 has less knocks for me but seems to feel slower then 02.3.

Yeah.. it hauls on 2.3... I just tried it.

@tsxronald it says that stuff WHILE you are flashing it, after it's done and you restart the car it's fine. If it's still giving errors then something is messed up.

Apparently we're involved in a community tune project of some sort? Interesting.

I support the community tuning thread. This gives the guys who have similar mods a better starting place than what's given by Hondata, and more calibrations to compare so that the community can better understand how certain changes affect the way the car drives.

I was really hoping this thread would be more of a rally to learn how to "self-tune" since all the tools are available within the Hondata Flash Pro software.. in time maybe.

Cal swapping happens a lot, it's like sharing MP3's, nature of the beast. Just never seen it happen so blatantly -- I guess if my customer feels it's OK for him to be freeloaded off of, then I don't really care. He paid for my service for HIS car, once the tune gets into later stages it's going to be more and more sketch to use his map on other cars... basemaps are typically detuned, final TUNED maps are not, so their is no guarantee that map will be "safe" or even optimal on another car.

I agree with Vit's last statement, as my tune from 2 years ago works fine for my car, but others here experienced knock. Which is why I said, I was just sharing mine, it wasn't meant to be a final tune for anybody but mine.

I also agree with ssjoe in the fact that we were hoping we'd get into self tuning. -- I however, will not do this, I have paid for Vit's services, just waiting to leverage them when my car is all put together in a few weeks....

I completely agree with this. I know for me personally I will probably use one of the calibrations uploaded here until I can further my own build.

My plan is to SC my TSX and couple it with your new aftercooler (if it turns out to be an easy mount for the TSX; I know it was designed for the civic). Hopefully I'll be able to get a Honda tuner to help me with the calibration portion, but if not I'll be using you for that too(if you so let me). In the end I've always seen myself giving you my business.

^^ Damn!

Yeah our original goal was for us to figure out some self tuning. I also plan to supercharge my TSX, but not for a while. Until then my plan was just to run something posted here.

I'm not surprised people experienced this... these k24 motors are EXTREMELY touchy from car to car.

I was super excited to see that my guess on which mounts to use on the TSX turned out to be really close, makes it trivial to install the cooler kit and no hack job to get it working (I've installed some other cooler kits at our shop and really had to cuss a lot... no mounts whatsoever supplied at all, quality of the items provided so sketch, no wireharness, nothing... ugh)

And I will definitely help you with tuning if you need it. In the future I may be supplying basemaps with my cooler kits once I have enough tunes done to find what a "safe average" is for the model of vehicle in question (don't have one yet for the K24Z3 TSX).

^^ He said he is getting misfires though so something is up.

Yeah optimus's cal was weird with the idle and for me, knocked like crazy in third.
Dime Fengs feels more powerful overall with almost no knocking.
