theres no interest in anyone making anything for our car

nobody gives a fuck

find a blowtorch and start making your own exhaust

anyway even if ATLP did make an exhaust it would have no performance gains...

if it did get made, it would have very few buyers because it would be expensive, and it would be very expensive because very few people would be buying.

i would LIKE to see a vendor set us up with a decently priced cat back (2 universals fitted to out car with a tiny bit of piping so that we can install it easily)

problem is im looking for a deep sound but i think that might be impossible with the i4 engine but i could be wrong. since we arent getting performance gain i would pay top dollar if i can get a nice sound lol

I know I would rather my engine perform like my exhaust sounds rather than an exhaust that sounds legit and engine that can't match...

ATLP

Attempted, Tried, Lost, Phail

I would like an exhaust after my rims and drop come next summer but having an auto car tells me the drone would drive me insane. Apexi W/S or Tanabe Super Medallion or 5Zigen Fireball would be my top 3 choices for universal cans. Whats stock piping? 2.25' or 2.50"? Those 3 list their inlet sizes in mm tho which..confuses me lol.

I don't think I could handle an exhaust with a loud drone for everyday driving....it would get annoying to me IMO. I would, however, love some bigger tips to fill my bumper a little better!

How are you going to get drone on the auto? Its at like 2k rpms at 70mph. If an exhaust drones at that rpm, it's not a good exhaust.

Run 1 cat, delete all the rest til the mufflers, try to run the straightest pipes and voila

downpipe + glasspack resonator + 2 aggressive mufflers instead? keep pretty much all stock piping

uh yeah, downpipe would replace 2nd cat converter, and id go with your plan, glasspack + 2 magnas will make a cheap/good exhaust, the downpipe really isnt necessary.

It is unnecessary, but if you want, while you are getting all your exhaust shit done, just tell them to replace the 2nd cat with a straight pipe, and i bet they will only charge you like 50 bucks for it and it wont be hard for them to do either. Just a thought... idk how emissions are in FL.

Just gut your converter. 4 bolts, it takes 10 minutes. just get a huge drill bit or big screwdriver or hammer. I did that to mine the same day I bought it (2011 TSX). No one knows, and it doesn't do any harm.

Info on gutting your secondary cat? Oops, it's 6 bolts. 14mm. Just take the cat out, put it in a vise or secure it on a bench. Take large drill bit, use a power drill and basically hollow it out. All the material will come out both ends. It gets messy, so have the cat on a garbage bad or something. I know a lot of people take the actual material and melt it down somehow. There's platinum, palladuim and a few other semi valuable metals.

You'll definatly notice more throttle response doing this. I have a gutted secondary cat and no mid muffler, and I noticed a slight difference.

Florida emissions!?!?!?

Back in my Stang-banger days, (20 years ago) I could swap out my catalyst H pipe, get sniffed, remove it and be back on the road in an hour.

They repealed emissions tests because "We aren't catching the people the law was designed for, we're just irritating everyone else."

there was a guy on tsx club who modified a 1g tsx skunk exhaust to fit a 1G... said it required alotta fab work.

again my best advice would be to grab 2 skunk universals

Being that I reached between my legs a felt something there that others lack. I might just go and remove my second cat and mid muffler sometime this week. Tired of all the what ifs and not enough take charge in the 2 g tsx community. Doing mods is a trial and error thing just takes some balls. People need to be more creative. I do mods to all my cars the same regardless of who sells parts or If I have to rig something up myself.

maybe apexi ? their stuff for 1st gen sounds the best IMO. not too loud and ricy, sounds subtle yet moderately aggressive when you step on it. it fits the car rather than being loud with no power

Is that the finished exhaust of a 1g TSX? Sounds deep or it's just recording itself

1 of these guys really needs to do an in cabin sound clip.

I like the way apexi mufflers sound but me and my brother both had bad experiences with them. mine started rusting out the first winter less then 6 months after I got the catback. My brothers rusted and fully seperated inside of the muffler. Doesnt comptech have universals. The one my brother had on his integra sounded real nice and never rusted out. Skunk 2 mufflers are loud. I had a skunk 2 exhaust on my si and I felt like my ears were bleeding after a long drive.
