They might be better in places where they dont ise rock salt for snow.
Borla and flowmasters are not resognated they are baffle so they make that nasty raspy rattle noise that makes cars sound like they have rotary motors attached to a pacesetter exhaust. Only og,s know what taht sounds like.
Nope no black soot. Actually im used to acuras/hondas running rich enough to dirty the bumper. This car doesnt.
Its actually goinv in the shop tommorrow for a mid muffler delete and cat delete wiseguy. Be carefull I have a lot of friends in jersey buddy!

Look what came off today
First instal a straight pipe to replce the cat and mid muffler bit it sound like a civic with a greddy exhaust.
So I decided to add a resognator, some generic one they had at the shop.
Now it sounds throatier, hums at idle and then ot screams at hogh rpms. The car deffinately feels like it has a lil more peps but on the highway up top it deffinately has more pull. Butt dyno os satisfied. I think my next part to aquire will be the sprint booster to eliminate the throttle lag on the drive by wire.it all cost me $125 and was done in 15minutes.

Here is a sound clip video. I will do another video rolling as soon as my brother is available. There is a lil background noise and my phone made it sound raspy but it sounds great in person. Just need the accelerator to react quicker damn drive by wire.

Car experts, is it logical that gains would be experienced for this mod or is it maybe just placebo? o:
I thought our exhaust is free flowing already and no more power can be squeezed from exhaust?

I think youd see the biggest gains from the cat delete since its a bit of a choke point.
There was a dyno sheet that throwdown posted a long time ago showing ~10 hp gain with his downpipe (not 100% positive if im remembering this correctly). I dont think it would be unrealistic to expect a few HP from a cat delete, but i am skeptical you would see any large gains.
So yeah, as a pretend internet car expert, i'd say it's definitely reasonable to expect minor gains (mainly with regards to the kitty converter) from these kinds of mods on our free flowing exhaust, though keep in mind that the butt dyno is easily fooled and that the placebo effect can be very powerful

I have been using my but dyno since 94. Shes been dialed in properly over the years by a whole lot of drag racing in the point. Even If you remove the second cat and leave the rest stock youll be happy with the outcome.
