why are you asking a personal question?

do you want a remote starter?
you should get it professionally installed, as you dont sound skilled enough to do it yourself.
and yes, if you buy an aftermarket remote starter, it will come with an additional remote just for it to start

I have a Compustar CS601-S and it works great. I did a lot of research when looking to get a remote start system and in talking with several installers/shops found the Compustar products to be more reliable and more customizable. But remote start in general is a great feature. With the compustar unit you can actually set it up to use your factory Acura key but it limits the range to that of the actual remote. I am going to add the drone mobile function to it at some point and viper has a similar unit called Smart Start, which enables you to start your car at preset schedules and remotely anywhere you have phone service.

i got a v5904 viper alarm. NO Smartstart i wish i would have done that though. But i love the viper remote start, make sure you go to a PErfered Dealer look on the viper website. IN NYC i know SPeed world did the install for 500 flat, worth the money though.

Just make sure not to leave your car in gear when you park your car if your planning on using your remote start.!!

I have the Viper 5704 installed in my integra w/ smart start and gps module. although i pay the yearly data charge for the gps and smart start, remote starting the car from my phone or ipad have yet to work (installed for close to a year already). all other functions work as expected.
I would not recommend the system for our TSX's as im sure there are better systems available.

I have the Advanced Keys system installed which has the remote start, alarm, and cool keyless entry which eliminates the bulky Acura Key Fob. I love it and it has performed flawlessly. I also added the Push Button Start option.

altogether with shipping and the Fortin module was less than $450. And I have a 2012 TSX and I installed it myself in a weekend thanks to a DIY that is very well written.

Just don't get the OEM remote starter like I did. It sucks, you have to turn off the car before entering and the range sucks.

for the remote start with a phone, do you choose a cell provider to subscribe to and your remote starter has a SIM card in it or something like that?
