Trunk sub install wiring?
Trunk sub install wiring?
I have an opportunity to get a decent sub for cheap... my only problem with this is how to run the wiring.
I would need to run a wire from the battery to the trunk.... how difficult is this on the TSX? And i assume i would just take the input off the stock sub and feed it into my new amp for the new sub?

Depending on how much power your amp requires it can either be easy or hard. If 4 gauge wire will suffice you can run it through a pre existing grommet on the front wall above the steering wheel.
If your amp supports high level inputs then all you need to do is feed the two wires that go into your stock subwoofer to your amp. Make sure you know which is positive and negative. If not you will need a hi/lo convertor (same as line in convertor) and then use rcas to feed the signal to your amp.
There are already a couple threads with this info for a basic aftermarket sub install.
