Road noise with bluetooth
Road noise with bluetooth
Does anyone have the problem when driving 60+ and on a phone call the other person can hear all the road noise/wind? My friends says it sounds like im going through a wind tunnel. My AC is always on 2 and pointed down.
Do you think the mic is defected?

Yes. I use mine all the time at >60 mph and people actually comment on how clear it is, there may be a problem with your mic or something else. I guess you don't hear anything? maybe it is your phone? is it constant or comes and goes? if it comes and goes, it may be the feedback circuit is not operating properly.
Any phone call I do has the wind tunnel affect. I don't hear it on my end but they can hear it. I kinda have to yell so they can hear me. I tested it on my iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, and blackberry.
What year do you have Nukebug?
I have an appointment with the dealership so im hopping they can fix it. I was just wondering if other people had that problem.

For what it's worth, I have a brand new 2012 TSX wagon and have problems with my Bluetooth as well. Day after I drove it off the lot, got complaints from people I called that they were hearing a loud noise. I listened from a buddies phone and it was almost like a loud wind noise but more high pitched, even with the car parked and not running. After poking around a bit to see if i could figure out the problem myself, I found the BT mic in the center overhead right near the dome light/sunroof switch. I discovered that if I moved the dome light switch around (cycled between on-off-door), the sound would go away. No idea what the problem could be...maybe a lose contact causing electical interference with the mic??? In any case, when the noise happens, all I have to do is move the dome light switch and it goes away immediately. Intend to have the dealer look at it since the car only has 2k miles on it. Maybe a complete new switch and mic assembly will resolve it altogether. Also as a point of reference, I had a 2006 BMW 3 series with IDrive before the TSX and the BT and Iphone interface was much much better in that car. The BT and radio (non-Tech) is my biggest dissapointment with the TSX. Otherwise love the car. Plan on doing a double DIN NAV replacement sometime in the near future though.
Well I never did have the mic replaced by the dealer and still every once in a while the high pitched noise is transmited over the bluetooth. If I simply tap the BT mic assembly a couple times the noise goes away immediately. I still have not opened up the overhead pannel but I probably will take a look myself rather than bringing it back to the dealer.
