Ms8 install questions

Whose installed one of these on the non tech? I read one write up but that was a tech

I want to know if I lose any controls and if there are issues with the Bluetooth I have to be aware of..

Also..can we just completely take out the factory amp..is there a reason we would want to keep it there..I would rather try to fit ms8 in there

I want to do this soon and will try to post my progress ..hopefully this will help a lot of folks out

Thanks

Factory amp is in the trunk under the liner (right side), you can take it out if you want too. You won't lose any functions or controls by removing it either.

The output of the factory HU is way to hot for an MS8 you will clip for sure. Not sure why you would want an MS8 since there is no reason to do any comp for the factory HU. If you want an eq get an audio-control unit with balanced inputs.

yo justin i just sent you another message with everything about my ms8 install. this would only be a valid upgrade for you if you have aftermarket speakers installed and have issues with the stock amp with the aftermarket speakers.

Ive seen some threads where some installed polks or somethin like that and it sounded good with the stock amp. THis was not the case with my JL C3-650 speakers. had a lot of treble heavy problems on about half the shit i listen too.

Needless to say the MS8 has made a world of difference for that problem.

also there is no way you could fit the ms8 where the stock amp is located. i built a shelf for my amps and the ms8 is now on the bottom of the shelf. i really need to clean up some of my wiring now that im thinking about it.... lol

Hey man thanks for the message I just sent you one back.. Yeah I am putting in speakers that need amps and that's why I want the ms8. And yeah I opened up the side and realized the ms8 would never fit lol. I will probably just put it on the rear seat. I can't wait to get this done.

watch out for the elbow rest when mounting the amp on the seat. I would run rears to if i were you and not just fronts to get the most out of creating a sound stage via active processing on the ms8.

will your speakers utilize a passive xover?
