No sound when using ipod

Hi all, I'm sure this is not a problem with the system and that I am forgetting to hit a button or hit something by accident.

I just got my car 3 days ago. It's a 2011 TSX and the XM, and regular radio all work fine. So last night I hooked up my iPhone to the USB in the car and synced it. I an see my contacts as well as my music library. The song would show up on the Acura but there's no sound. The music was definitely playing as it jumped to the next song when the current song ended. As soon as I switch to Radio or XM everything was fine. Only having trouble with the iphone / ipod.

What could be the problem?

Check your iPhone and see if it is connected via Hands Free Link or Dock connector. If you see album, title etc it your phone should be set to Dock Connector (lower right corner).

Also check that your iphone has it's volume up and vibrate/ring switch (side of phone) is set on ring.
