Iphone 4 problems....

when you start the car it takes about 2 minutes to make the connection. If you are on a call before turning the car on, when it does connect it has a loud static sound for about 10-12 seconds and you are unable to communicate until after this static attack consummates.

The connection is also not always reliable, sometimes it won't connect at all.

the iphone 4 uses bt version v2.1 with a2dp which is the exact same as iphone 3gs. Bluetooth issues isnt a common problem with the iphone 4. Delete the phone out of bluetooth options in the car. Then do a 2 button reset on the iphone. Hold both power button and home buttom for 25 secs or until the phone boots off the resets and shows an apple logo. Pair the phone again and see if it helps. Hope this works!

My TSX with my iPhone 4 works flawless
None of those problems. By the time I turn my car on and pull my phone out to put it into that space on the door, phone is already connected.

this happens with my verizon blackberry bold actually. my old bold used to pair pretty quickly. but it did have that 5-10 second buzzing sound if i was on a call, very annoying. this one can take up to 5-10 min to connect, i even turn the bluetooth off and then on again on the phone. gonna activate my new bold that i got replaced through warranty tonight. we'll see how it is tomorrow. this doesn't bold well though, im gonna get the verizon iphone 4 soon

With the iPhone, you can't press 'Next' with your dash/steering wheel right?

As of IOS4, you can use the dash/steering wheel controls for track forward/rewind skipping via bluetooth.

you can use the steering wheel to change songs, sometimes it doesn't work though. i have times where bluetooth instantly connects, while other times i go to settings on my iphone and click on. iphone 4 + non tech 2010 tsx are not a match made in heaven, but work well enough

triumpht you mean the music from the iphone stops streaming through the bluetooth after a call? i've had the same thing. if that happens, click the ipod icon, and go to now playing. next to the right arrow to switch the song, theres a weird looking icon. click it and make sure hands free link is selected instead of iphone. dkwhy b it switches that setting

negative. verizon iphone, straight from the store. for some reason when my bluetooth is connected, and i get a call, it defaults the audio source to the phone. i have to touch the button to change it to hands free link. other timnes it'll go straight to the car, and the music wont be interupted
