HandsFreeLink Talk button - no beep or anything?.
Hi guys, I just got an '09 TSX 6MT. So far, I'm loving it. It has all the features I need, feels sporty enough and appears to be just sipping that gas
I have one problem though. When I press the "Talk" HandsFreeLink button on the steering wheel, nothing happens. I tried following the instructions in the user manual and from HandsFreeLink.com/ Acura.ca.
I parked the car in neutral with parking brake engaged, ignition key in "ON".
When i press the "Talk" (the "top" button of the two in the bottom left of the steering wheel), nothing happens.
No beep, no voice prompt of any kind. Nothing happens regardless of whether the stereo is on or not. The little multi-information display on the speedometer remains the same. No changes on the head unit display either (stereo basically stays in the same mode it is in).
HELP! I am too impatient to wait for the HandsFreeLink support or visit the dealership. I want to love my new Acura NOW!!!

I'm assuming you went through the "Pair" mode, paired the phone and have the phone setup to automatically accept the BT Handsfree Link?
When my car was new, it took me a couple different sessions to get it paired and remain identifiable.
What phone do you have?

Do you guys get an item for the HFL in the multi-purpose display in the speedometer? I cycled through it and seem to have no reference to that...
I phoned HandsFreeLink support phone, they had me turn on the stereo and turn it up so the help desk agent could hear it. Then had me press the button a few times, got no beeps/audio did not switch to mute or hands-free mode. They ended up referring me to the dealer to have the HFL module checked.
