bluetooth problem- iphone 4

i have an iphone4 (not 4s) i followed the write up, and it still won't work. the bluetooth assistant answers/responsive so i don't think that is the issue.

my question is while doing this, should my phone automatically pick up the bluetooth on my phone before starting the set up? while im trying to do this the bluetooth keeps trying to 'search' for the car. Or does the car not find it until further into the setting up process?

Thanks in advanced

i have the verizon iphone 4. what exactly isnt working? you can't pair it? just go into bluetooth on your phone, and turn it on, its discoverable then. then hit the talk button on your wheel and say phone setup and follow instructions. after you tell the car a code, go on your phone, if neccessary click handsfreelink R when it pops up, and type in the code, should pair

Yep. On your phone go to general options and select Bluetooth. Make sure that it says "discoverable" then follow Pyro's directions

Phone setup
Pair
put in the code on the phone
Say a name for your phone and voila - your phone is paired.

I have the iphone too and I got it linked-like everyone said follow instructions really easy- it has the step by step in the owner's manual...

The deal with mine is in I have to keep the bluetooth on...on my phone even when Im not in my car because if I turn it off ever- I have to restart the whole synching process... anyone else experiencing this...I put in the password and it's telling me it's not allowed or some bs...eh not a big dealjust don;t like my battery getting drained with having the bluetooth on

i have a charger in my car, and charge it plenty, so i usually have decent battery, therefore i never turn off my bluetooth. it also auto starts my music when the car turns on, i love it =P

Still dealing with this. My iPhone used to pair fine with my TL. Now the phone and the car just stalls in the discoverable mode. The TL finally times out and says no phone found and the iphone eventually stalls out too. Any guesses? Is it possible that the Acura shop did something when they replace my cracked dash?

Delete all unused phones in the car and delete all unused or old cars on your phone. Rebbot the phone. Make sure you have the latest software revision. If not, install it and reboot the phone again.

Make sure bt is discoverable and pair your phone.
