2013 TSX Wagon with Nav - options for head unit?
I recently bought a 2013 TSX Sport Wagon with navigation.
After using the navigation, I have to say that other than the rear-view camera, I don't like it very much. I find my phone (Google Maps, Waze) better for navigating than the native navigation. The display doesn't show much when playing music, and the voice command is quite limited.
I would very much like to upgrade to an after market head unit. Doing very basic research (ie, going to Crutchfield and entering in my model), it tells me that there is nothing that fits my car.
However, I am guessing that they mean nothing fits my car to work with the existing navigation screen. I am wondering if I could just stop using the navigation screen and install a double DIN head unit that would then give me what I need - after market head unit with better integration with my phone, but also with a video display that would work with my existing rearview camera.
Moreover, it'd be great if I could continue to use the steering wheel controls and microphone. For the latter, I assume that is not that important.
Can anyone quickly tell me if this is possible? And if so, other than reading more in the forum, and other good pointers for educating myself?
Last, any good head unit recommendations?
Apologies for the noob questions, and much thanks in advance.

And that's why Crutchfield has nothing for the tech. You could easily sink $5k in parts into the car and still not have everything function as intended.
Buy an iPad mount and use that instead if the nav bothers you. Me? Aside from the crummy graphics, I find that the nav gets me to where I need to be. How much song info do you need when driving?
If it's the same as european one, it's under the carper juste in the rear of the rear seats.
