remember, the guys that work for my acura dealership in chicago charged me 206 bucks. they are not AT the dealership. they are a seperate body shop down the road. find a deal, hopefully someone here can help you like they did me. saved me 150.

also, all you need to do is ask them to "match it".

all i know is that before the spring, i'm gonna get rims/tires off ebay. there are some that are going for 500 for a set of 4 and they are bad*ss. it's easy to find them, and they are compatible for 09 tsx.

Ya this was a seperate body shop also. Did the body shop you used remove the entire grill or simply mask it off?

Since I am unable to pm, do you have AIM MEGA? I do not want to post my e-mail due to my name being displayed. I too am from Chicago and would like to know what Acura dealership you bought from and what bodyshop you used to paint your grill.

I guess I got lucky since the body shop that did mine pulled the bumper off themselves, removed the grill, paintmatched it, then reinstalled it all themselves for $150.

Now you just need the Aero Sport kit to complete it.

I have a hypothetical. How do you think the TSX would look if you paint matched the the upper lip (the emblem portion) but left the lower-lip accent in chrome? I wish I was good at photoshop so I could show you what I meant.

But the lower part isn't chrome, it's just silver.

Have you guys thought about this sort of color? A dark gray/gunmetal or whatever. It'll hide the grill's boldness but still make it a feature somewhat. I think this might be a good universal color.

I don't think the grill is that bad but only for the fact that its chrome.

i cant pm you either. wtf!

anyway. everyone in chicago, hit up International Body Shop off route 83 and lake avenue. ask for bobby. please tell him Pete referred you. He should appreciate the business. I dont know what he will charge you guys if you didnt buy the car at napleton's acura off lake. it will be a little more than mine probably.

i feel wierd doing this without asking him first. bust since derwood got his done for 150 in another part of the country, i dont mind doing it since mine was higher priced.

Very nice !!!...

I am considering painting my black 09 TSX also ... I am guessing you had the grill removed to paint it instead of painting it while on car ?
