Trunk open light on in dash and battery draining

Hello, for some reason my trunk light is on in the dash and it says trunk is now open. But the trunk is closed. I also noticed that the soft button to open the trunk in back dosnt work. Now the only way to open my trunk is to use the inside button or the trunk btn on my remote.
Why is this happening. I also noticed this morning my car battery died, I removed the trunk light so hopefully the battery dosnt die.
Is anyone experiencing this? Should I remove the trunk fuse to get ride of the dash trunk light? Thank you.

sounds like the trunk switch is defective, Maybe it's stuck in the open position, jimmy it up a bit and if it doesn't fix it, then replace.

I tried that and still same issue. Dash light on like the trunk is open and the rear trunk btn in the back of the car isn't opening it either.

What pieces do I need to replace and is there a guide to replace it ?

The first video shows what happens when I press the truck release in the car. My screen flashes on and another video is the trunk actuator. https://photos.app.goo.gl/QRqN1BpWevP7J3mW7

On the 2012 lt looks to be a white wire leaving the Drivers MICU / relay box (which is above your knee, don't know which side). Leaves on terminal D5, splits to go to the lid latch switch (closed is latch open), and the light.

I'd suggest looking at the switch on the latch (no idea where it is based on your video) and make sure the switch is opening when latch is closed (voltmeter test, or idiot light)

The wire leaving the trunk lid switch going to ground is black
The wire leaving the light to go to ground is green.

Trunk light fuse looks to be under the hood, fuse 16 (2012) (7.5a) Unfortunately, you will be knocking out your passenger door courtesy lights, and the overhead lights too, it appears.

Both individual maps lights, the dome light, and the mirror lights are all on the same fuse.

Pull the bulb maybe?

This might be ok short term to pull the fuse, but would drive me crazy not having light in the car.

So far I tried disconnecting all the trunk plugs and trunk light but my battery still drained.
Thank you so much. I'm going to temporary pull that fuse in hopes that it will stop the overnight battery drain.

So after taking it to the dealer they said the issue was Lock Assembly, Trunk - Acura (74851-TK4-A01).
They are quoting 200$ to fix it, is this a easy fix to do it on my own, has replaced one??
