Sirius XM crazy cost

So I have a sirius subscription already on a starmate in my old car for $100 per year. Since the new Acura has XM, I called to see how much it would be to have XM premier (so I can get my Howard Stern) and they were saying $200 per year! Sheesh what a ripoff, and the I asked what if you pay for 3 year subscription do you get a discount, and was told yes-$601 for the 3 years??? What a discount, I guess they are taking inflation into account and calling that a discount. Not happy about this, why couldn't Acura have gone with Sirius, this is ridiculous.

I am about to just put the old portable radio in the new car. I cant imagine how much it costs to have Traffic sent to the car.

I tried that, they were giving me it for 86 but that was just XM. For the sirius channels they jacked it to 200 per year. Any ideas how I can get that one lower. I read through some old forums about people getting both for 135, but no luck when I called.

After the added on free, taxes, etc. That $77.00 ends up to be $86.00+. We were charged That.for sirius also.

I recently renewed my subscription for $25+tax for 6 months. It was an offer I received by mail if I reopen my inactive account.

We have a sirius radio in one car and a xm radio in the tsx. Even tho they merged they still aré separate billing accounts. The also still have their own phone number for customer service.

We purchased a lifetime Sirius subscription for $400 back in 2007 on my wife's Altima. She still has the car and we can transfer it up to 6 more vehicles. Sadly they no longer offer lifetime option so I've decided to hold out while XM continues to sweeten my offer as my 3 months ended 2 weeks ago.
