rust spot on white car

rust spot on white car

hey i bought my 10 tsx for less a month, the car is white and i found that on the door, there are lots of rust spots.

how do you guys keep your car away from rust spots on the paint ? especially a white car ?

thanks!

by the way, i havn't get a chance to take some pictures of my car, the weather here in Ottawa is terrible. last week the temp was -32 and a got the tire pressure alart on every morning !
im gonna take picture once is not that cold !

Assuming you did not get into an accident, take it back to the dealer. The car should not have any rust spots at all.

yea im in calgary, and when the temperature dips that low u need to adjust ur tire pressures. I donno bout ur dealership, but i get free nitrogen fills at my dealership, just tell them u need it adjusted for winter

the "rust spots" could just be particles that are sticking to the paint. If it's the case, wait until the summer and you can clean it with Nufinish or something similar. If indeed you have rust spots on a one-month old car, you need to have this checked out by the dealer...

I think a clay bar is in order for you.
A clay bar is designed to take out industrial fall out.
When your car was being transported by train or truck, little particles from the railroad get embedded into the paint.
I recommend a full wash, which includes washing, drying, claying, and some kind of protectant(sealant or wax).

Google or youtube clay bar.

Iron X removes iron particles from all painted surfaces, including wheels.

Iron X is the way to go bro..... My brother had the same problem on his ride and the Iron X cleaned it right up.

THat's not good. Didn't acura switch to a waterbased paint with the 2010 tsx's?

The fastest way to get rid of these rust spots is to clay then polish with PC. I used to try get these rust spots out by clay only and it took too long.

Paint's been water based for a while now, at least cars sold in the US.
