Only complaint

After 1300 miles of driving, the only complaint I have so far is regarding the arm rests. Is it just me or are they lacking in padding. Granted I need to sit all the way bay and when my arms are at 90 degree angles there isn't much under my bony elbows. There is maybe 1/4" of padding under the leather armrests on top of what I think is plastic.

Is there any way to add some more padding?

i know what you mean about the arm rest being a bit hard, but slide it back and forth until you find a comfortable position for it

My boyfriend leaves a folded t-shirt on the armrest in his Avalon. It helps a bit, but obviously isn't very aesthetically pleasing.

sorry i must not have read your post accurately enough. By arm rest i thought you were talkin about the middle arm rest that is also the lid to the compartment. that thing moves back and forth and I was uncomfortable shifting gears until I messed around with that. The armrest you're talking about are the ones on the door?

For me both arm rests are painful. Neither have more than a 1/4" padding. I've tried adjusting the center arm rest. It's fine if you can lay your arm flat, but when my hand is on the steering wheel, my elbow is pointed onto the armrest. My MDX has about an inch of padding.

I have a perma-elbow mark on my door panel from laying my left arm there. I always try to move the console lid forward so I don't rest my hand on the shift knob.

It is hard to get situated sometimes, I have to make myself lay my arm flat on the console.

An interior shop could put some higher density padding in the armrest for you.
