The Official 2009 TSX Thread **Unvelied in NY**

I was really hoping that the car will look better in person. I finally got to see the car at the Atlanta auto show and it wasn't any better than the pictures. I just don't like the grill. As much as Acura wants its own styling grill, it rather looks like it's stolen from Saturn. I sat inside and it was nice and comfy, nicely laid out. Quiet honestly, it was too many freaking buttons. To me, it's more to have problems in the future. There are multiple honda owners who have electrical lighting issues, buttons just don't light up. I think the first generation TSX still looks so much better.
When I saw the TSX, I thought it was..

I test drove a 09 6MT with the tech package yesterday. Was impressed with the way it handled. The shifting seemed even smoother than my 06 (and that is smooth). Loved the back-up camera, wished they had a different front grill and do not like that switchblade key.
I would probably end up leaving it out all the time. The basque red pearl is the only red-looks like a bing cherry. (that was the color car I test drove with ebony int.) It does have DRL's, automatic door locks, and one-touch sunroof. I would rather have the blind spot monitor and traffic alert system like the volvo s-80 has. Not in the market for car-buying this year-but maybe next. Hopefully a milano red will reappear.

I see Mazdas with a grill like the '09, a bit chrome bar with the logo, but the logo is bigger than, and drops down from, the bar. In the Acura case, it's an elongated shield.
Kathy, I wondered when one of us Tarheels would drop by a dealership. A "blind spot monitor?" I could've used that this week ... i scraped a car in my lot pulling out of my garage space, avoiding a car on the right and a car on the left was only visible in my side mirror. Yesterday, I almost changed lanes into a car that was driving precisely in my right-rear blind spot. Gave that stupid SOB a scare, he jetted off ahead on my left.

The automatic gearbox is finally ready for the diesel Accord/TSX!
i-DTEC Automatic Gearbox
Paris will also see the debut of Honda's new automatic gearbox for the i-DTEC diesel engine. This new gearbox has been developed in response to European customer demands for an automatic option for the 2.2 litre diesel. The new gearbox has been developed exclusively for the i-DTEC turbodiesel, in order to compliment its flexibility and broader spread of torque. Honda's thorough approach to engineering would not allow the use of a third party gearbox, which might compromise the effectiveness of its newest engine.
