sorry folks, but i think you guys are fools for letting someone take your money for so long w/o receiving anything but empty promises. you should charge the guy interest.

i've seen vendors sell vapor products before, but what's odd to me is that NO ONE IS BOTHERED BY IT. not one complaint, not one person bitching about the lack of product.

i don't get it.

Thanks, I know what you mean.

A couple of years ago, a Honda dealer in UK was clearing out their stock and sold the wheels with Yokohama Advan Sports tire (worth $300 each) for $1700 total, a deal I couldn't refuse.

I like the H more anyway. Plus, it's going to look odd without the honeycomb. Mark my words.

lol tech you just have to post your grille up!

and mroto i do agree that the OEM honey comb looks muchhh better...im thinking if all else fail, i will either:

A. paint match oem grille and call it a day
B. get the HT grille and change the honey comb mesh for grilel + lower grille to the german/russian one
C. get the 2 bar grille the russians like to use, which is basically a 3 bar honda grille (the one ttk has) with middle bar cut out

whenever i log on my account on HT and request and update, marcus usually responds within 1-3 days, so he does respond fairly quick. just that this part is takin a helllllla long time

I understand that R&D takes time for a small business but maybe its time to add in some dedicated support staff so the core team can focus on products. Over 9 months since the first confirmed "down payment" and no physical product? Wow! I have no interest in this grill, nothing wrong with the 2011 "shield grill" but I just had to mention how outrageously unprofessional the lack of response and blown deadlines/estimates is.

At this point i'd just recommend the people that put money in ask for a refund unless you can stand to basically lose that money. By the time this product is done the car will be traded in and a whole new Acura design will be upon us.

Matt

Best way to get this vendor back is by not buying the grill when it comes out.

Those who gave a deposit on it try to get it back. Not worth the money for a non-existing grill no matter now nice it might look. 2 cents.

Close the thread.

Believe me when id say id rather not give HT any business i didnt have to, but the fact remains that there are just no options for us =/

if this grill ever comes out it may be the only way to get out of the stock grill

I HAVE the grilles. I HAVE the mesh. I have everything ready to go. I do not have the mesh attached to the grille. I had not idea this was going to be this tough to get done. I can send off the parts and leave the attachment in your hands if you want.

How was the attachment of grille + mesh supposed to happen? If it isn't too hard I'd gladly DIY it do you have pictures? Although I must note that when I paid for this grille last January I paid for a FINISHED product...

I have read some comments here that are completely warranted and all, but I am really hurt. I feel like I really failed here. I never want people to have the impression of this company like we are full of shit, don't follow through, don't know what we are doing, rip people off, etc. Heeltoe is the most honorable business you will find in the import industry, guaranteed. I know this grille experience deal does not support these statements at all, but it is true.

This project took forever for a number of reasons. I don't want to come off like a whiny b*tch or anything so I am going to concisely list them:
1) The 09-10 TSX is a slow seller, and the 11 TSX the grille changed. The demand here is a little low and that impacts the supply, even in R&D.
2) The car came out at the peak of the recession, further making investment in the project a real financial risk.
3) Frankly, I had no idea making this part was going to be so tough. Our standards require that we produce parts that are, above all, high quality. Achieving that standard has been unpredictably difficult.
4) I am now, and have been for about the last 2 months, in a rut with it. The grilles were done months ago, as were the mesh parts. But I am stuck trying to attach the two together. I can't seem to get something good put together here. I have pulled on a bunch of my resources and nothing is working.
5) This was the busiest year I have ever had. We took over ATLP in Dec and that has taken a lot of time from us, our business has grown in the last two years significantly but resources have stayed the same. I have just not had the time to dedicate to this project that needs to be.
6) I bit off more than I could chew. This year we started about 1/2 dozen projects like this and none of them are done yet. But that is going to change shortly.

Really, at the end of the day, I just bit off more than I could chew. I am freely admitting that and not getting defensive at all. The criticism is warranted. That being said, I also have not been here to monitor the thread. This was another lapse in ability on my part, so what I really need you guys to email or call if you have questions of need updates. It does no good to ask for updates in a room where I am not sitting.

So now, to prove I am not full of shit I am going to take some pics and show you how awesome the grille looks, and also to show you where my problem is:

Please see this gallery if images with descriptions to see where we are now and what we are up to:
http://heeltoeauto.com/gallery/index...-Grille?page=1

So the hold up is finding a way to attach the mesh to the back of the grille? How is the stock "mesh" part of our stock grill attached? Could you use that same idea? Or it's completely different?
